I love games as much as the next guy, and used to spend many useless hours on MP shooters, console, PC games, etc. when I was in college and was single. But with a family and work, I find enough time to barely get through 3 or 4 games a year; single player campaigns mostly that take 8-10 hours tops, maybe a tiny bit of MP. Games like COD and Spec Ops: The Line (which was incredible by the way).
But games like EVE, WoW, and other MMOs and RPG type games take a massive, huge investment of time. I don't see how anyone with demanding jobs, family, children, a spouse, not to mention the demands of elected office, could possibly find time to sink 200+ hours into a video game. I remember I put about 20 hours into Red Dead Redemption two years ago, but that was recovering from a brutal tonsillectomy and adenoids removal. I truly envy someone with hours of spare time in a day to play video games, but I probably wouldn't vote for them to hold elected office.
That would need to be backed up with specific evidence that she’d missed a lot of votes, etc.
Keep in mind a lot of State Legislatures aren’t in session that long.
There are people that spend enormous amounts of time in church activities - should they be attacked for that?
I will echo your concerns as stated above and add that most Members of congress who plan to seek reelection will say that they spend about 4 hours a day making calls seeking campaign contributions.
So how can a member of congress full fill their duties as a member of congress, make calls for cash and still have time to play WoW?
