Over the past day the game tape of the debate has been reviewed. While Mitt Romney still enjoys the afterglow of the debate, the lies and half truths he told are being dissected.
From tax policy to hiring teachers. From cracking down on Wall Street (and Sesame Street) to coverage for the uninsured. From Medicare to shipping jobs overseas the fact checkers have been very busy correcting the record and pointing out falsehoods.
Even Team Romney had to correct the candidate on health care immediately after the debate.
As I predicted earlier this week, Romney had an October Surprise planned for the President – new policy ideas. But I had no idea that Romney would just lie about everything he had said over the past year and a half.
As the President said, Mitt Romney’s bright new idea is: Never Mind!
But there was a moment in the debate that will be discussed in the days ahead that everyone missed until yesterday.
A review of the debate tape reveals that, apparently, Mitt Romney needed a cheat sheet to keep the lies straight.
The rules of the presidential debates are clear about not bringing outside notes and presidents and aspirants have followed the rule for decades.
Video of the first eleven seconds of the debate available on YouTube shows Mitt Romney reaching into his pocket at the moment he is out of view of those in front of him, he used the lectern as a shield, and removing what appears to be folded papers from his pocket.
We see this because the camera that was broadcasting was behind Romney. Those in the audience and the moderator may have been shielded from his sleight of hand, but not the viewers.
Romney then proceeds to unfold the item in front of him.

HA! At last count, there were around 350 comments. The comments were probably about 325-25 FOR Romney!!
If Mitt Happens is a cheater with no core convictions and no principles, why the heck should liberals be upset?
They celebrate situational ethics and they should learn to love him!

If this was caught on video, where is the video? I’m no Mitt Romney fan but I doubt he would do something so stupid and juvenile.
This is rich, coming from CBS. They had no problem with Dan Rather knowingly using forged documents to smear President Bush in the 2004 campaign, but accuse Romney of cheating after he takes Obama to the woodshed in front of 70 million people. Yes, they are a bastion of journalistic integrity!

And yet all of the Obamabots want Obama to use a TELEPROMPTER in the next debate!! BWAWAWAWAWA!

I read on another site that he did pull something else out of his pocket, (they were allowed one sheet of blank paper to make notes during the debate) it was a white hanky, cuz he has the sniffles.
There are even pics of him using it at the podium.

Someone on FR yesterday said that the reason Obama was looking down all the time was that he was receiving coaching on his blackberry. Could this be true? I’m reviewing the tape of the debate as soon as I can.
Who can blame Romney. There’s so many facts about bad policies and decisions by Obama that you can’t remember them all.
Frankly, I wouldnt care if he did cheat. This is a street fight, and Obama said he would take us on Chicago style, remember?

If the compliant media is going to drag their boi over the finish line, their job just got a LOT harder, as the Current Occupant has all but stopped trying to fight for the job.
It is almost a certainty that offered the chance to retire, Current Occupant would be secretly grateful, as the expectations once set up for him have rarely been realized, and the two signature accomplishments of his regime are Obamacare and “he got bin Ladin”.
The bin Ladin thing has backfired badly, in that the assassination of a Foreign Service Officer in Benghazi was masterminded by a released al Qaeda operative once interned in Guantanamo who was sent back. This was a revenge killing, not due in any way to the anti-Islamic video that was first blamed.
And in spite of all the spin, Obamacare is probably LESS popular now than when it was first passed, as some of the more unpleasant features are revealed over time.
I can see why Mussolini, er, Obama, would not want to be up in a prominent position as the anger keeps building in this country.
