Following the conclusion of Friday prayers at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, hundreds of Arabs threw stones at security guards in the area. Police charged through the Mughrabi Gate in the Old City and fired stun grenades to disperse the angry mob.
Several people were lightly injured, according to Palestinian sources.
On Thursday, a confrontation at the Temple Mount plaza led to six arrests as a group of Muslim worshipers threatened Jewish visitors to the site.
According to a police spokesperson, about 30 Muslims began chanting Allahu Akbar (God is great) and tried to attack a group of Jews who were visiting the site. Police broke up the altercation, and arrested five Arabs and one Jew.

Twitter and FB also had streams about this - pro-Muslim, naturally...
Feel the love from the religion of peace. Ahh, the brotherhood, the kindness toward Jews.
I still think that the Israelis should have bulldozed the mosque off of the Temple Mount the day they captured East Jerusalem in 1967. Yes, the Islamic world would have screamed, but it would have ENDED this farce.
Like every other country, Israel needs to nationalize all religious sites to some degree.
As a minimum, it needs to make it abundantly clear that no nation or religion has sovereign territory within Israel, except for embassies by treaty.
In the case of sites of historic significance, it should declare them the property of Israel, true nationalization, with generous lease terms on condition of good behavior.
This would mean, in particular, that the al-Asqa mosque, currently controlled by the Wahhabi sect of Islam, would be required to “maintain the peace” of its area, and if it failed to do so, the government of Israel could “revoke their lease”.
The subtlety here is that the government of Israel could still recognize it as a mosque, but turn the management of the mosque over to a much less violent and repulsive sect of Islam, like the Sufis.
This would utterly terrify the Wahhabis, as it is the same threat used by the Saud monarchy in Saudi Arabia, whenever their co-partner, the Wahhabis, become too ambitious and threaten to overthrow and murder the Saud. That is, the Saud threaten to turn over the management of all Saudi mosques and holy sites, including Mecca and Medina, over to the Sufis.
In Israel, this would throw a huge wet blanket over much of the Wahhabi-inspired religious strife and riots. And the Sufi would be so thrilled with the one-upmanship over the Wahhabis that they would be utterly charming lessors.
Granted, the Israelis would have to provide a LOT of protection for the Sufis for a while, because the Wahhabis would try to slaughter every one of them, but it is a task they could perform with glee, as it would drive the Wahhabis utterly bonkers.
Effing dirtbag savages need to be put down.
I was on the Temple Mount during a tour of Israel about two years ago. The Muslims have been permitted to manage the holiest site in Judaism. We were allowed access with permission from the Muslims when no prayers were going on, and we were not permitted to take any religious items, such as prayer shawls. We were told to be careful of what we said, and to not get caught saying any prayers, unless they were Islamic prayers.
The Muslims got caught excavating under the Temple Mount to build another mosque, without permission. When they got caught, they lied about it, and then took everything that they dug up, 2,000 plus years of archeological evidence of Jewish and Christian presence, smashed it to smithereens, and dumped it in a valley.
I think it’s time for Cowboys and MOOOOslims.

After being there a year plus ago and after reading Montefiore’s recent history of Jerusalem, I have to respectfully disagree.
The temple has been knocked down and rebuilt a couple of times before.
My wife and I were there during the Naqba protests going on (and Harold Camping had predicted the end of the world), and we did not get to the Temple Mount. Did the Wall and the Tunnel, but things were a bit tense at the time, so there were a few days it was recommended we not go into the Old City.
nothing quite like the Israeli jets flying over us as we were atop Masada.
If youd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.

The next debate won’t have a question dealing with this...
***about 30 Muslims began chanting Allahu Akbar (God is great)***
2000 years ago they would have been shouting ..”GREAT IS DIANA OF THE EPHESIANS!”
Imho, shooting them would be more humane.
