HHS Awards Another Multi-Million-Dollar Obamacare PR Contract

News of this latest PR contract comes on the heels of criticism from congressional Republicans over efforts to market Obamacare through popular television shows. “Americans’ hard-earned money should not be taken by government to subsidize Hollywood and insert propaganda into the popular culture,” a group of lawmakers said of that effort.

I rarely watch anything on TV, but when I have, I’ve noticed references to various political things in shows that are supposedly pure entertainment. (Fictional character saying MO is the woman she’d most like to spend time with!) I can’t tell if it’s a paid “product placement” or if it’s just more of Hollywood’s in-the-tank-for-0bama attitude showing.

On the plus side, I’ve begun to see some less flattering references to Zippy.
