Does it occur to anyone that it just might be that Obama is not all that bright? I think that his trainers drowned him in more information than he was able to process or to remember. I think that Obama will do better in the town hall format but will be swamped in the final debate again.

Obama looks like a sick man to me. He think he has some severe mental and/or physical problems. An experienced politician/debater does not stand there looking at his shoes like he did last night. Something is up with this guy.

A guy called in Medved today and said that Obama lives virtually on Air Force 1. This is pressurized to 8000 feet.
His "hypothesis" is that with a body used to 8000 feet altitude now operating at 5000 feet for the debate would have a beneficial impact.
Or my hypothesis, that Al Gore is a bigger idiot on matters of environment that we give him "credit" for.
About a week ago, Obama himself came out and said that Romney was a very good debater and that he was only fair, thus lowering the bar for his own performance and raising the expectation that Romney should do very well!
He just didn’t understand that Romney meant business going into this debate.

I told my wife that he appeared sedated. NYT called him pres Xanax. I think it’s true.
My guess would be freebase/cocaine use. The same stuff that did Whitney Houston in. He has admitted to using it in the past. It’s the sort of thing that he doesn’t need to be doing everyday but more or less going on binges every now and then when the pressure is too much.

While drugs most assuredly could be a factor, I think the real culprit is incompetence.

Here in Chicago, word on the street for the last month has been that Valerie Jarrett was specifically tasked with getting Obama off coke and other drugs before the debates so that he would not embarrass himself on stage for an hour and a half. So, word is that Obama’s been detoxing since at least September. This explains how haggard he’s looked and how prickly he’s acted for a while now…it’s what addicts look and act like when they’re cut off from their drugs.
Remember that a President can have whatever drugs he wants. The Secret Service are not there to keep the president from breaking the law, they are just there to keep him alive. Obama’s main drug suppliers are the junior staffers who work in the White House who go to Lafayette Park and buy him whatever he wants…and he also gets special deliveries from his friend Bobby Titcombe in Hawaii, who brings him “fish and poi” to the White House (that’s Hawaiian slang for “weed and coke”).
To get through the almost two hours of being on TV, Obama looks like he needed a big injection of beta-blockers and/or amphetamines.
If you noticed at the beginning of the debate he was talking fast, acting erratic, and blinking like CRAZY he was still jazzed up by whatever they gave him. About twenty minutes later, it seems like the adrenaline in his system from being in front of the crowd might have caused the uppers to wear off…and his energy levels collapsed after that.
By the end of the debate, Obama looked like he was aching for a new fix. This could be the reason Michelle Obama rushed him off stage and skipped the traditional “let’s waive to the crowd for a while” schtick. She could tell he needed to get out of sight because he totally lost it out there.
Al Gore’s excuse made him look really stupid from saying it, not to say hie intelligence wasn’t already questionable, but he has now officially made himself a big joke in conservative circles. Oh wait, he made himself a bigger joke in conservative circles.
