Al Gore has said some things which have been lampooned over the years, but his speculation on why Mitt Romney seemed to dominate the debate last night has garnered more critics than usual.
Im going to say something controversial here, Gore said. Obama arrived in Denver at 2 pm today, just a few hours before the debate started. Romney did his debate prep in Denver. When you go to 5,000 feet and you only have a few hours to adjust, I dont know.
Of course, people have been having a field day with it, and Twitter is all aflutter.

....him and Biden should team up and take it on the road....
Ping to your chuckle of the day.
At least he didn’t use the excuse of drinking too much ice tea.
The key here, regardless of who or what is to blame, is that it is NOT 0bama’s fault. It’s either the altitude (Algore) or J f’n Kerry as prepman (Moore) or not the “real” Romney (’0). Clearly, it’s one of those things... or some other one, but has nothing to do with the talented, the stupendous, the magnificent, the amazin, the W’on.
Gore claims core of the Earth is millions of degrees hotNovember 1999
CONAN O'BRIEN, HOST: Now, what about ... you talk in the book about geothermal energy...
AL GORE, NOBEL LAUREATE: Yeah, yeah.
O'BRIEN: ...and that is, as I understand it, using the heat that's generated from the core of the earth ...
GORE: Yeah.
O'BRIEN: ...to create energy, and it sounds to me like an evil plan by Lex Luthor to defeat Superman. Can you, can you tell me, is this a viable solution, geothermal energy?
GORE: It definitely is, and it's a relatively new one. People think about geothermal energy - when they think about it at all - in terms of the hot water bubbling up in some places, but two kilometers or so down in most places there are these incredibly hot rocks, 'cause the interior of the earth is extremely hot, several million degrees, and the crust of the earth is hot ...
`albore blames altitude’
I agree. Bam’s eyes looked bad. He was high as a kite.
Long term attitude sickness not short term altitude sickness
Obama was just too high to debate with Romney.
I live at 5,000 feet. 5,000 feet is lightweight altitude and generally has NO effect on anyone who visits here from sea level including high school football teams from the coast that travel to play here.
But, somehow, the altitude didn’t affect Romney?
Heard another one since this...Joan Walsh on Chrissy Matthews show said Romney was on a sugar high and had eaten a lot of barbeque and spaghetti yesterday. I am not kidding. I rewound and turned on closed caption to make sure I had heard correctly. Truly LAUGHING OUT LOUD!
Can you imagine? Those two f-ups prancing around talking about global warming and rich people.
Altitude?
Of what, his nose in the air or his chin?
If Obama was at altitude last night, I would blame “Puff the Magic Dragon” for his problems.
If Denver’s high altitude were to blame for Obama’s poor debate performance, the performance would have gotten progressively worse as the debate went on. Yet that didn’t happen. Obama’s performance was just as bad at the beginning of the debate as at the end.
The next presidential debate is in Hempstead, NY, on Long Island, so maybe Al Gore should start working on an excuse now for Obama, for example, something relating to the air pollution in that area caused by its heavy traffic.
Many of us were giddy last night to watch Romney eviscerate Hussein and much of that glee continues today. I hope everyone can step back and realize that the fight is not over, it has just begun.
The Dems will pull out all the stops to get Hussein elected. We must remain vigilant.
It sure is a pleasure to see the media, who created this mistake, squirm in their own juices tho. :0
If Al Gore were to go to Denver his fat ass would probably explode due to the decrease in external pressure.
According to the news report, I heard on the radio, that was b/c Rom had arrived the day B4 and taken the time to get acclimated. HAHAHA!
