In his first appearance after the first presidential debate, President Barack Obama said he was on stage Wednesday with someone who “claimed to be Mitt Romney,” not the “real” Romney.
“When I got onto the stage, I met this very spirited fellow who claimed to be Mitt Romney,” Obama said to laughter from the crowd in Denver, on Thursday at Sloan’s Lake Park.
“But it couldn’t have been Mitt Romney because the real Mitt Romney has been running around the country for the last year promising $5 trillion in tax cuts that favor the wealthy. The fellow onstage last night said he didn’t know anything about that.”
In the past, “the real Mitt Romney” said “we don’t need any more teachers” in America’s classrooms, Obama claimed.
“But the fellow onstage last night, he loves teachers, can’t get enough of them,” he said.
Obama repeated his previous claim that the Mitt Romney “we all know invested in companies that were called pioneers of outsourcing jobs” overseas.

I watched it on You Tube, and towards the end, he looked like he was forcibly reminding himself that he he couldn't just walk off the stage.
And nobody is talking about that little quip to the moderator about "moving on". Can you imagine what the reaction by the press would have been if Romney had said it?

They would have totally exploded. "A shaken Mitt Romney virtually begged the moderator to move onto what he devoutly hoped would be a safer subject..."
It would have killed the Romney campaign deader than a doornail. Right then. But Obama is getting a pass. The MSM is hoping to all hell that nobody remembers it. Rush needs to hammer this.
I see they reloaded his teleprompter with recycled lies. At least we now know Romney will be calling him out.
I'm not so sure of that. I think that Obama can find new and creative ways to look like a liar-fool in front of the whole world. We can already see what will be going on in the next debate. Obama is going on the attack.
I can already predict some of the prefabricated attacks coming. "The Real Mitt" is their new direction. We will hear the word "Bain" brought up, see a lot of 'talking over' and probably some angry stares into the camera.
As we speak, they are drumming into him 'don't look down', and 'attack attack attack'. I wonder if he will pull an "AlGore" and move in front of the podium to feign a physical mock upstage.
