People who were planning to vote for Obama are not going to change their minds, and in fact many of them are claiming that Obama won the debate, and that Romney told a bunch of lies, irrational as it might sound, but they are irrational people. Therefore, I don’t think the debate will have much, if any, effect on the election.

“”People who were planning to vote for Obama are not going to change their minds,””

What you say is true. But, will they vote?

Ovama’s followers are very depressed this morning. If Obama cannot get his followers out of their slump, his voters may not waste their time going to the polls.

Meanwhile, Romney’s supporters and leaners are energized this morning.

Vote turnout is the key and Romney is doing well this morning.

That is probably true of the 40% who will vote for their naked king no matter what.

A blowout election will be a victory of about 5%, and Mitt performed well enough to secure this king of margin. My prediction: 52-47, with a much greater electoral margin.

luntz had an obama voting group last night... 13 out of 24 that voted for obama in 2008 and went into this debate as pro obama... changed their vote.

There is about a 43% floor that will vote for a moldy loaf of bread if its a democrat but there are some Democrats who are followers of the bandwagon too and there are those who only supported Obama because he seemed “cool” and “all that”.

Well the last 2 groups might only be 5% of the electorate but their bubbles were certainly burst last night. Those are the really dispirited ones after last night.

Obama is not cool, they saw him get schooled by Romney and the bandwagon might be following Romney starting today.

Exactly. As I said on another thread, I cannot believe any more than 20-80 voters changed their minds because of the debate. The percentage of 0bama voters who even watched was probably 10% or less.
