This loss of control is bs. Lehrer plainly tried to come to Obama’s aid. He was suggesting answers to Obama when he realized he was floundering. He also was heard trying to interrupt Romney when Romney got on a roll.
It was outrageous he was saying “but Mr President, you believe in a more balanced approach.... “ when Romney started racking up points.

Moderator Jim Lehrer did a GREAT job as a Moderator: He allowed the Candidates to debate during the debate that he was moderating.
Its funny how liberals are so quick to eat their own.
Here’s the shocker...it seemed like Romney got a lot more time, but Cnn had the clock running below on the replay, and in fact they were almost dead even on time. It’s just that Romney can put 3X as much information out in one minute as Ah-ah-ah, uh-uh, eyyon’-eeyyon’, uh Obama.

Lehrer gave Obama 4 1/2 minutes more speaking time than Romney. Maybe that’s what the Kool-Aid drinkers are moaning about this morning.

Jim Lehrer wasn’t responsible for Obama’s confused, disturbingly muddled closing statement, which made him seem worse than Reagan in his disastrous 1st 1984 debate. Obama almost seemed drugged at times.
Well, I have proof that that scenario did not happen, we put a stop watch on as each candidate spoke and it was Obama who continuously blathered on generally not making sense while Romney occasionally went over but only by second or two where Obama droned one for mo than a minute.
In my opinion, and I do think Lehrer was awful but not merely for granting Obama way too many time lapses but even going so far as to coach answers out of him and second questioning of Mitt Romney's answers on more than one occasion,

I didn’t know until a friend pointed out to me last night, that Lehrer was in the Marines...so at least while he may tend to be liberal, I think he isn’t nearly as far to the Left as most other pundits.
I don’t understand why all these political debates are moderated by leftist liberals? Don’t conservatives have anyone who can moderate a debate?
