NEW YORK — Jim Lehrer may be regretting his decision to come out of semi-retirement and moderate his 12th presidential debate.
The veteran PBS anchor drew caustic social media reviews for his performance on Wednesday, with critics saying he failed to keep control of the campaign's first direct exchange between President Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney. The candidates talked over Lehrer's attempts to keep them to time limitations, and his open-ended questions frequently lacked sharpness.
The tough assessments crossed party lines: Republican commentator Laura Ingraham wrote on Twitter that Lehrer seemed "a bit overwhelmed." Comic and Democratic activist Bill Maher bluntly tweeted that "Lehrer sucked."

The liberals are just mad that Obama didn't perform well in this format. Obama needs the structure of an Igo Ugo debate to contain him and his opponent.
The next debate is a townhall format, which I suppose means questions from the audience by Democrat stooges posing as undecided voters?

One thing is for sure, at this years press correspondence dinner Jim Lerher will get a milk crate to sit at the back door.
Jim Lerher was suppose to be asking questions with skewed liberal promises, that’s the mainstream media’s oath. He may well be excommunicated, if not virtually burned at the stake.
Jim ole boy, it’s time to start spending your days at the horse track. No invite to Dan Rather’s house. No lifetime acheivement award.

In my words, Romney was happy that Obama kept taking more rope to keep tying his own hands behind his back.
The commie ‘RATS need to lighten up on Lehrer. Nobody could have saved Barry’s ass last night. Just because Lehrer refuse to try is no reason to beat him up.
He let Obama speak for 5 minutes longer than Romney.
OBAMA FAIL.
The altitude was against him, the stars were obviously aligned against him, the falling level of the oceans was against him, the questions were stacked against him, and even the conservative icon Jim Lehrer was against him - if he weren't Allah's gift to the universe, he would have done even worse.
It would have gone better for Obama if Lehrer had not let him talk at all...
