Contraception Mandate Suit Dismissed in Missouri

ST. LOUIS (AP) - A federal judge in St. Louis has dismissed a lawsuit challenging the contraception mandate of the federal health care law, one of nearly three dozen similar lawsuits filed across the country.

The lawsuit filed on behalf of Frank O’Brien and his company, O’Brien Industrial Holdings LLC of St. Louis, challenges the constitutionality of regulations in the health care law. Among other things, O’Brien, a devout Catholic, claimed the requirement that workplace health plans cover birth control infringes on his religious beliefs.

U.S. District Judge Carole Jackson, in a ruling late Friday, disagreed.

“This Court rejects the proposition that requiring indirect financial support of a practice, from which plaintiff himself abstains according to his religious principles, constitutes a substantial burden on plaintiff’s religious exercise,” Jackson wrote.

Well, they can mandate whatever they want (Roberts said so), but you can ignore it unless they threaten to fine (tax) or otherwise harm you.

I have never understood why people who are anti abortion and anti welfare are also anti contraception. It is illogical.

Because they are all part of the same whole.

We have a Christian duty to defy unjust laws.

The judge was nominated by G.H.W. Bush in 1992. She is African American so maybe in her eyes Obama can do no wrong. Obama said his “compromise” solved the conscience issue and she is obviously buying it.

One of the first commandments, “multiply and replenish the earth”. There is nothing illogical about that. Contraception has placed us on a road to Islam in Europe and elsewhere. You cannot win without a birthrate.

I just finished reading a frightening travel book called “Lost on Planet China”. Suggest you read this to learn the price of “multiply and replenish the earth” in this day and age. In case you haven’t noticed this is not 2,000 years ago, and I doubt that any rational God would command that today. Regarding Islam, I’m sure that as their countries become totally overpopulated and they run out of water, etc. they will start to depopulate themselves rather spectacularly as Shias and Sunnis are already doing today.

So indirect financial support is anything the state makes you pay for, as opposed to something you choose or not choose to pay for. Wow, land of the free indeed.

“This court rejects....” An evil baby-killing harridan/political hack in black robes. These vermin will strip us of our liberties, one step at a time. What are we to do?

Maybe God has changed His mind about having only 6 commandments instead of 10. And maybe He has changed His mind about homosexuality or has doubts about creating Man in the first place. I wonder how many other things you think God was initially wrong about.

Silly you.

Contraception has led to the culture of unbridled promiscuity... which in turn has led to unwanted pregnancies. Unwanted pregnancies, abortions and the number of single mothers have statistically exploded since the birth control pill came on the scene in the 1960s.

Here’s the proven logic: Having men respect women and treat them with dignity — instead of pumping them full of pills and treating them like sex objects — would actually decrease the number of unwanted pregnancies and abortions.

Of course, in our current feminist, progressive society, we’re far too enlightened to actually think and act in such an antiquated and unfair manner.... /s

The court disagrees that the murder of a baby is a significant burden to your religion.

Really good coming from a Satanist.

Of course having men respect women and bring condoms with them if they want sex would go a long way toward preventing unwanted pregnancies. Pills if not taken every day according to directions can fail. Young women especially are probably not all that careful. Men, take responsibility!!

So God is not rational? Interesting, so all I need is chapter and verse where he has retracted the command. He seems silent on the retraction as of now, but maybe you have it. I think he has left us enough water, fuel and other stuff necessary to get us to the end. I am not worried.
