It is astounding that what really happened in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012 has been so thoroughly buried by the mainstream media.
In an article from Reuters dated September 12, 2012, Alastair MacDonald reported that "U.S. troops dispatched by helicopter across the Libyan desert to rescue Ambassador Chris Stevens and other diplomats in Benghazi ran into a fierce overnight ambush that left a further two Americans dead." MacDonald quotes Capt. Fathi al-Obeidi (Libya special operations) as saying that "after his men and the Marines had found the American survivors who had evacuated the blazing consulate, the ostensibly secret location in an isolated villa came under an intense and highly accurate mortar barrage."

Now, I'm confused. Helicopters? Apparently, as the consulate came under attack, the occupants contacted someone (it isn't specified who), and the Marines were dispatched. The Marines then ran into an ambush when they tried to helicopter to the consulate location from "across the Libyan desert." Meanwhile, Capt. al-Obeidi said that "it began to rain down on us," just as his security force was heading out to evacuate the 37 Americans in the ten pickup trucks and sedans they had brought to take the Americans to the airport. Capt. al-Obeidi said that he was "being bombarded by calls from all over the country by Libyan government officials who wanted me to hurry and get them out."

As more information comes out, more screw ups are revealed.

On Fox and Friends about a week after the attack, it was reported that one of the embassy employees (my husband and I thought one of the 4 who died initially) was wounded and being cared for at Walter Reed Hospital. We both said that was the first we had heard of that. We have not heard any more about this. Has anyone here heard of an embassy employee being wounded and cared for at Walter Reed?
This is the first I have read about helicopters and Marines going to the rescue.
I still haven’t heard it on the news.
How can they be keeping such a hot story quiet without cooperation from the media?
If the media is hiding this what else are they hiding?
If Romney uses this issue effectively, he can destroy Obama before Nov.
Great post. Keep in mind that the marines had no live ammo so there wasn’t any chance to defend themselves. Who were the 37 people that got out? Were they injured? It’s hard to believe this attack went on for over 6 hours and nobody could get to them?? Even worse to think last summer Stevens warned the administration that this would happen. Don’t you think somebody should’ve been able to get there sooner if they had any intentions of saving them? Hmm.

I find it hard to believe that Panetta, et al, weren’t real time involved in knowing what was going on.
I am beginning to think that this was Steven's visit to Ft Marcy Park, Obama style. He apparently knew too much about Obama gift of arms to Al Qaida affiliates.

ABC carried it but it's not on their website now. At least not at the original URL. MSM website tricks to keep anyone from holding them accountable or discovering any real news they might have once reported accidentally.
