Inded this is a truism, I have thought about what things over the last few weeks and have read many a online comment board...only to find myself feeling hopeless. This is the result of taking people's faith away from them in so many ways. From their faith in God...to their faith in themselves to manage their own lives...to faith in their circumstances improving... Hope can only exist if one has faith.
Or that extra can of beanee-weenies in the cupboard.
“The suicide rate is as much about the cultural erosion of faith”
“Hope can only exist if one has faith.”
The two most profound truths I have read here today on the Sabbath. Personally I cannot imagine someone of faith ending their earthly existence before G-d so ordains.
Mhy wife & I are retired military & we recall the heartbreak of those mandatory “suicide prevention” classes we had to attend early in 2009 after it was announced that more soldiers committed suicide than were killed by the enemy in 2008. The eerie detail was that suicides didn’t take place in the middle of combat, but after the soldier had redeployed back to the U.S. Who says the human mind isn’t being attacked by demons?
I thank the Lord that I believe in Him!
