I prefer not to argue that premise with him though. It becomes a debate over speculations about the Marines and about the opposing force and about a confrontation that never happened.

I’m frankly at the point of viewing Stevens as the determiner of his own fate. If he wanted to place his bet on the narcissist king, then he knew his chances, and his hand was called.
