chuckle, you are both lucky. My grandson is in the air force in Montana...he says its all fishing all the time. Not a lot to do. He and his fellow airmen have sent me some pictures of the great trout they get....seems like heaven to this old lady, eat, fish, eat, fish and one day just drop dead without warning...:O) I’m getting closer to that age of leaving. Would hate to be found dead in the bathtub, rather be eaten by the animals (after death of course)
I’ve seen about all about all of the world I care to. Except I did always want to go to Australia.
I like it here. But ti has changed for the worse. More and more land locked off. Farmers that didn’t mind you skirting a field to go fish or hunt. Too many people with no respect on their motorized vehicles tearing things now. So accesses are denied.
But I still catch a fish or two. A couple of good places on the Snake 5 minutes from my place.
I was hiking in Montana and I got between a grizzly sow and her cubs. I remembered what an Indian friend had told me to do in a situation like this. I took out my wallet and threw it at her saying, “Here, just take the money.” Then I realized that was the advice he gave me if I was ever mugged. She stopped and took all the money and left. Turns out she just wanted to buy some gold to diversify her investments.
