Time for some Jedi mind tricks....
I wonder what the total population of Idaho is? Liberals aren’t the type to want to be self sufficient...those that don’tlike the rat race are inclined to go to low population states....maybe.....
Kansas is pretty good but maybe I need to go to Idaho
Watch out. Liberals migrating out of California and other blue disaster states bring their destructive politics with them. Never mind that it’s irrational. Since when has the irrational nature of leftist politics ever stopped them?
Lots of God, lots of His country, lots of potatoes, and lots of guns.
They’re drinking Palin-Aid.
Lot of retired Caucasian cops live in Idaho.
Mostly coconut milk. The surfing is great and miles and miles of beautiful Pacific beaches! Most nights, you’ll find a luau going on along with hula dancing! The friendly people of Idaho say “Aloha!” and invite you to enjoy their tropical island paradise!
I love Idaho and have been visiting there since I was a wee baby. My Mom was born in Sandpoint and grew up on a farm in Potlatch. She met Dad at the University of Idaho in Moscow. My Dad’s brother went to U of I, too. He married a girl from Twin Falls and opened the first orthodontia office in Twin in the mid 50s. He moved to Ketchum in the 60s and lived there for almost forty years.
We just visited my Uncle (now 92) in Twin over the Labor Day weekend and spent a night in Ketchum where took the opportunity to look at possible retirement real estate. The only problem is Blaine has swung heavily Democrat in the last two decades, the only county in ID to swing so badly. In 2008, Oblamo won by 33 points or McLame while McLame won by 25 points state-wide. I don’t know if I can stomach such neighbors again (just like we have here on the SF Peninsula). During our visit, we saw precisely two campaign signs, one RR and one OB.
Is high-speed internet readily available there? If so I can moved there anytime.
It’s 140 miles to the nearest Walmart or Starbucks, there are no traffic lights in this county, and I like it that way. A few tourists think about retiring, but they look around and get lonesome and move somewhere else.
Employment in Idaho is currently not too good. However, Oregon is anti-business and some good small companies are moving there.
By that I mean government still works for the people here, there are actually fewer laws here than anywhere I've ever lived: Ohio, CA, TX, GA, OR and several places in Europe. It was startling to discover. Here in N. ID, we have four seasons, lots of trees, plentiful water, arable land and really nice neighbors. It's a great place to live. Unfortunately, my wife wants to be closer to the grand-babies. ;-(
I’m sorry but Idaho is presently filled. If you leave your e-mail address I will notify you if there any vacancies.
You would not want to live in Idaho anyway, it is so cold air that the birds freeze in midair. The state only has a one Road and it only goes to the welfare office and back. People so poor here that even the governor lives in the back of a pickup truck. I have to go now because my igloo is being foreclosed on and they’re telling me to get out.
