President Obama has jumped to a double-digit lead over Mitt Romney in the battleground state of Pennsylvania.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Pennsylvania shows Obama with 51% of the vote to Romneys 39%. Three percent (3%) prefer some other candidate in the race, and seven percent (7%) remain undecided.

PA’s recovery — helped by fracking and a frugal Republican governor — means a lot of folks are insulated from Obamanomics. Then when I heard gambling receipts were way up, I knew it was over for Romney. On the other hand, a lot of people are lying to pollsters. It’s kind of trend, actually. You never know until it’s over — vote!
Obama and last Dem Congress Federal Defect 2010 $1.6 trillion
Even the most brain dead Obama supporter should be able to do that much math
IMHO these numbers mean absolutely nothing to the average voter. People do not understand Billions and Trillions, you need to add the zeros so that they can see the difference.
It confuses me too how many 0s to add. But the numbers written THIS way need to be shown to the masses.
I think that it is 12 0s for a trillion.
I accept your point, and yes, they are wealthy counties; and they will be wealthy for a long time to come. But ... they are NOT growth areas. Very sadly, only State College and Lancaster are expected to grow economically over the next ten years. Philly and Pittsburgh, and their suburbs, are expected to continue to decline.
The single sign I’m seeing pop up everywhere in my, admittedly, red county is “Stop the War on Coal - Fire Obama!”
I was through the neighboring county today as well, and saw the same sign in many yards on the way. I saw ONE Obama sign and ONE Romney sign on the way to Pittsburgh. Also, we have a “Don’t Tread on Me” plate on the front of our Jeep. When we were coming out of Pittsburgh Mills Mall, a man stopped us and asked us if we got our “NoBama” Tee shirts yet, and he told us where we could get them. He had a pretty heavy Pittsburgh accent. I’m holding out hope that maybe Pa will go for Romney. I won’t hold my breath, mind you. I guess I’m a “glass half full” kind of woman!
His national robo call polls was quietly changed to +1 or +2 Dem after being +1 R.
His state polls have always been semi awful in the past but
read Axelrod is really harassing all the pollster to use 2008.
Read the Hotair story about it.
I’m not surprised. I said last year stay OUT of PA....it’s a waste of time for the GOP in presidential elections. It’s a damn shame though cause PA has the right demographics for the GOP, but the unions & the big cities really turn out the dem base every 4 years.
My wife is in Naperville just outside of Chicago visiting her sister. On her street she counted no less then 8 RR signs . Keep in mind this same street had 20 Obama signs 4 years ago. NOT ONE OBAMA SIGN.
Sorry chris, I am not an idiot. Do you think the bigger part of Pa is happy with the unionistas in Pittsburgh and voter fraud in Philly? We elected a Republican governor and an extremely conservative Senator to take Arlen Specter’s place. Now we’re fighting to get Tom Smith elected and oust the 0bama butt-kisser Casey. We passed the voter ID law. It’s a real fight here in Pa. Give us some credit for heaven’s sake!
Look at the last election map. The rural areas went RED.
Just hard to say how frugal they really are. They increased spending by 1.7% this year, about half a billion. However the total debt went down 3.6%, about $5 billion. So it does seem like the revenues are coming in. And they did not raise taxes.

Of course it was the Democrat Rendell who pushed for the casinos. He was a popular governor here. And despite these big Republican majorities, they don’t push for real conservative change, like right-to-work (Corbett said he’d sign it if it makes it through the legislature).
Good. I hope every coal mining family that votes for the terrorist in the white house starves. They deserve it.
Ok, I will give you credit for that.
But if Pennsylvania re-elects the jackwagon, I can tell you that I will despise the state, as well as any other state that does so, including my own which is Florida.
In fact, if my country re-elects it, I am not even certain I will be able to stomach living here anymore.
I mean, I do not know of any other way to say it, but I have had it up to here with stupidity in this country.
It has reached the point of being utterly disgusting.
Here in Montgomery County, I’m seeing very few bumper stickers and no signs. However the stickers I do see are 2-to-1 Obama. And the Obama voters are more enthusiastic, judging by them having a lot more stickers all over their car than Romney people, who never have more than one on their bumper.
I’m a Texan stuck out in Cali for work reasons. Don’t worry about me: I vote R (unless they’re uberlib Rinos).
And in the primary there were a good amount of Ron Paul stickers, including some cars ridiculously decked out with everything but Ron Paul Christmas lots. The suburban voters want low taxes and libertine social policy. The opposite of the “Reagan Democrats” in some of the less well-off counties who are pro-life, pro-marriage but want high taxes on the wealthy and redistribution to them.
From what I can tell, the “Reagan Democrat” is an aging group in decline. The schools are spitting out hard-left people like clockwork now. The only ones who fully resist it are those with a hardcore Christian upbringing who are hard-right. The educated types who rebel from the indoctrination only join the Ron Paul libertarian contingent of low taxes, small government, isolationist foreign policy and anything-goes morality.
The Ras shifting was also from Hotair but a few days ago.
Boy you nailed it! My 82 year old uncle lives just to the north in Binghamton, NY - well, Deposit, NY 30 miles to the east. He is a JFK Catholic democrat and a union supporter, but when I saw him in July, I could tell he’s been paying attention. He is all in for Romney and is better informed than I am. I know Binghamton has a conservative radio station and I think my uncle must be tuning in. If my die-hard union/democrat uncle can be swayed, anybody can.
Where is diogenes?
