This is really DISTURBING AS HELL.
Of course- I don’t know whether to believe CNN’s timeline either (twilight zone,eh?) but doesn’t it seem INEXCUSABLE that the consulate STILL hadn’t been secured by us FOUR DAYS after this took place? In fact- SO un-secured that a news organization (and God only knows who ELSE) could be wandering around digging through Steven’s stuff?????

Something is SERIOUSLY AMISS here. The citizens must be given FACTUAL ANSWERS.
Did CNN notify ONLY the family?
Did CNN notify the US government?
What ELSE did CNN find, if anything and what did they do with it?
How can this HAPPEN? Not just the attack but the truly surreal aftermath, having to go to foreign news sources to get ANY sense of what happened?

ALL ITEMS inside the boundaries of a Federal installation are considered property of the U.S. Government.
This covers Embassies, Consulates, Mil bases, etc. Anything with a designation of U.S. Federal property.
Hell, even the ink pens are covered by this if the PIC (prick in charge) wants to get testy about it.
Agree, SE Mom. Our media is too invested in obama to find out what happened over there. Imagine if the video/pics had never been found. The administration would likely have been able to get away with their madeup story.
Reporters were all thru the burned out consulate showing tv audiences.
I think they got the diary from someone else, not from the consulate itself.
CNN says they notified the State Dept & the family. (for what that’s worth)
