If the firefight was going on for hours, why wasn't that enough time for reinforecements?

My understanding is that the reinforcements they sent (from several hundred miles away) were 8 civilian contractors. Up against a hundred or more attackers with heavy weapons.
Something about this doesn’t sound right. I understood at least one of them was killed too... can someone confirm this?

It was a spurious peaceful demonstration precipitated by the Mohammad insulting video. The American thugs delayed the protest by hours by preventing the rapid execution of the ambassador who was obviously responsible for production of the video which the protestors have yet to be forced to see.

Obama said he’d send reinforcements as soon as he got back from Vegas.

"If the firefight was going on for hours, why wasn't that enough time for reinforecements?" Benghazi is about 400 miles by air from Tripoli. I'm guessing that's where the nearest reinforcements would have had to come from.

Why has this not been called "An Act of War"
and an "assassination of a U.S. Diplomat" ????
