Russian Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov has angered the U.S. administration by derogatory comments on the recent killing of U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens, Kommersant daily reported on Wednesday.
The American ambassador to Libya was shot like the lowest dog. He was the main expert on the Libyan revolution. He reaped what he sowed, Zyuganov, leader of the second largest political party in Russia, tweeted on Monday.
U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens was killed along with three colleagues when rioters attacked the U.S. consulate in the Libyan city of Benghazi on September 11, after protests about the film The Innocence of Muslims.
Citing an unnamed U.S. State Department source , the daily said Zyuganovs statement would not go unnoticed but reaction will most likely follow November's presidential election.
That response will come whether the presidential election is won by incumbent President Barack Obama or his Republican rival Mitt Romney, the source added.
Zyuganovs press service named the employee responsible for managing the Communist Party leaders Twitter account as Denis Parfyonov, Kommersant noted.
Parfyonov told the daily his responsibility only covers technical aspects of the Twitter account, and all tweets are dictated personally by Zyuganov.
We type in what Gennady says word-for-word and do not make anything up, Parfyonov said.
Zyuganov would face the most severe sanctions if the U.S. presidential race is won by Romney, who is known as a vocal critic of Russia and who recently named the country the number one geopolitical foe of the United States, Kommersant said.
Did anyone else think this was Putin at a glance?
Why would this guy speak out, anyway, about the death of a US ambassador? What profit? And why in this way?
So the Russians hated Chris Stevens. That means he must have been effective against them.
Even the Russian news is carrying the old murky water for this admin I see.
They're human after all. Couldn't resist cackling a little bit.
I think Russia is pretty pizzed at us for being a part of the Libya revolution.
Russia gave USAID the boot yesterday.
My best tin-foil hat makes me think Chris Stevens was a spook. /tin-foil hat off
I think there’s a whole lot about this tragedy that we don’t know and our good-for-nothing press act like poodles yapping at Romney’s heels, while the burglars are emptying the house out the back door.
Boy that reprehensible filmmaker in California has a lot to answer for. Now he’s making the Russian Communists say mean and nasty things...
Zyuganov must be the Russian for sore head. He must miss the Soviet good ole days.
In the prophetic words of RWR, “We win. You loose.”
He was indeed “shot LIKE the lowest dog” and “reaped what he sowed”. This is not calling him a “dog”.
The Russkie is right. This terrorism was all predicted by many of us a year ago.
No just pointing out Stevens role in the Arab “Spring”. He was one of those pushing the lie of a democratic movement.
Pointing out irony is not limited to Americans.
Did anybody see Luntz on Hannity tonight? He was visibly upset at having seen images of Chris Stevens he said aren’t public yet and they are horrific. He was begging Americans to open their eyes and see what was going on while obama slept and partied. I thought he was going to cry.
Oh, nice.
So, Barry Boy, what you gonna do about this besides nothin’?

This part seems to be more or less true. The guy was apparently a point man in support of the anti-Daffy Duck revolt.
And apparently some of those he supported are those who killed him.
“has angered US administration”...
?? based on what??
“response will come after the election”
lol.
“He was one of those pushing the lie of a democratic movement.”
Then the Russian was right. Poetic justice.
Lover’s quarrel?
Seems so.
The Obama foreign policy is a smashing success, isn’t it?
