After sparking anger nationwide by vocally supporting the fight against same-sex marriage, the Chick-fil-A fast-food chain has reportedly agreed to halt giving money to groups that seek to ban the practice.
The chain's president and son of its founder, Dan Cathy, sparked the furor in July, when he gave an interview to a Christian radio program in which he said "I think we are inviting God's judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say, 'We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage.'" He later said, "We want to do anything we possibly can to strengthen families."

Instead donate to groups that support traditional marriage. wink wink
And I guess that Target, Penny’s etc, etc, etc will stop giving money to pro-gay organizations?
Bwahahahahahahah!
Silly me, I always thought that the purpose of a business was to make money and hire people.
Earth to gays, I was going to tell you to mind your own business and shove it up your smelly Obamas. At least you’re following half of my recommendations.
Howz’ ‘bout a big chubby contribution to Right to Life . . . to help them stop the 3,300 daily slaughter of our most helpless. That’s where I donate when I can.
I always liked the Chick-Fil-A and liked even more in the last few months after the chain was attacked by agents of the sodomites.
Now, without their support for solid family values, I may have to stop dining at my local Chick-Fil-A.
No one has to send money to any organization except the greedy, brutish government.
Perhaps Mr. Cathy was worried about having to close his business if the homosexual Gestapo got him on the IRS and EPA and Labor Dept. hit lists. He cares about all his employees who would be out of work when lawsuits would shut his doors.
That’s the kind if thugs we have running this formerly free country.
I’m surprised liberals have not decided to boycott churches since they are also against gay marriage.
Oh. wait! That’s right. They don’t go to churches or donate money to any causes. My bad.
I keep seeing these articles based on rumors and reports. Yet, when I try to research any change in position, I find nothing. It feels more like an an attempt to remove some of CFA’s support than a change in CFA’s stand.
Unfortunately for CFA they’re not keeping in mind that the same people that supported them with record breaking sales a few months ago can also avoid them and we are the 53% that actually have money and like the wholesome surroundings and service of CFA. I’d like more info on what they plan to do before turning away.
According to a Tuesday news release by The Civil Rights Agenda, a Chicago-based lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender advocacy group, the charitable arm of Chick-fil-A pledged not to support groups that oppose same-sex marriage in negotiations concerning a Chicago franchise.
I recommend having some faith in Chick Filet.
Think about it for a minute. What is an “anti-gay” charity? Name an “anti-gay” charity. There are “Pro-traditional marriage groups” and such. But I doubt Chick Filet will be changing anything based on the founding values of the organization.
The use the language effectively to appease the ignorant. It’s a business move that does not affect their charter or the values on which they built it.
That’s my opinion.
Exacly. Cater to their expectations. They think you are stupid. Give them a sentence they want that does not conflict with the corporate values. Done and Done.
Let's sell chicken and support our communities!!!! Yea!!!!
“Thats the kind if thugs we have running this formerly free country.”
And it is such “thugs” that WILL and I REPEAT WILL make a second American revolution much more likely to happen.
It’s too bad because this only gives the far-left radicals the go ahead to keep bullying and pushing, and eventually if they scream loud enough they get their way.
At least Chick-fil-A hasn’t (yet) backed down from their personal views on the subject and are unashamed for standing for their values.
That being said—I sure hope Chick-fil-A will still be a crazylib free environment!
Another “When did you stop beating your wife?” article.
This is the 2nd FR article so far today that is outright attempting to LIE to us.
And many FReepers are swallowing this load as fast as the enemedia can squeeze it out.
Any "charity" that won't bend over for them.
Isn’t this about the Chicago Chick-fil-A fulfilling some Chicago conditions in order to open a franchise there, nothing to do with nation-wide policy?
Hopefully that's what they'll do. I hope Chick-fil-A isn't going wobbly on us...
Most likely they will quietly support (Chick-Fill-A) pro-marriage/pro-life groups, but do so in a very quiet manner, under the radar.
I’m lining up to demand a refund.
