The thing about the set of leaked videos from a Romney fundraiser that nobody is talking about is this part: The video was taken at a $50,000 per plate fundraiser in Florida. You may not have noticed, but despite the blur there are a lot of plates in front of a lot of people.
This is what people are still not grasping about Romney: He's about to open up the money floodgates in a way that Obama can't match.
Romney was wildly successful during the primaries not as a result of his charm and personality but because he had a massive pile of money.
He still has a massive pile of money in his campaign coffers, and by all margins he's continuing to raise large amounts of money, as we've found through a look into the Center for Responsive Politics' database.

IF Romney has something of sufficient shock to influence the election, the media will refuse to air/print the ads on grounds of ‘hate speech’ or ‘incitement’ or some other garbage... They will stall and delay long enough to where enough votes have been cast that there is little impact to the news. they have no worry of the consequences of such actions... Their financials suck, so they are not worried about fines they may get, they’ll just get a bailout early under an Obama 2nd term.
“So, is that why I’m supposed to like Romney then? “
Nope. You don’t need to like the SOB, just vote for him since, sadly enough, that’s the ONLY way to remove Obama from office.
Wow, did not know that.
I don’t know how common it is, but I used to live in a place that allowed them a month before the election only and that had to come down right after. I don’t know how much it was enforced. People seemed to go along with it.
I think having signs up very early dilutes the punch anyway. A few weeks before the election and BOOM all those bare lawns sprout signs. People notice that and think. If they go up in August, they don’t even register in people for the last couple months.
We always donate to candidates that we like but we are hounded nearly to death by the Republican party. We do not give to them.
We keep hearing about this “carpet bombing” business, but ain’t seen nothing.
I’ve seen no Romney ads on my TV, not one. But I do see that damned Bill Clinton ad for 0bama 8 to 10 times a night.
Now I’m suffering from severe acid reflux.
What I hope is the plan is that they will bombard the airwaves not just with one commercial but show ten or so with little or no interval between them. What this will do is make it so the media cannot make mountains of molehills distorting just one ad. They’re going to have to refute a whole bunch of different ads with the effect that they won’t have the time or the depth to criticize everything, making some of the charges more likely to stick.
It’s brilliant if he does it. I think it’s just as likely Romney just keeps the money and never does run the ad blitz.
That EVC really took me off guard and I hope the Romney campaign is planning the barage of ads beginning yesterday as tomorrow may be too late. We were told it would be immediately following the dem. convention.....well I’m waiting.

Yes but remember you’re in California. I bet you never thought that the Kenyan would have to shore up Ca, now did you?
I’m thrilled he feels the need to spend money in CA.
hope to God you’re right....
Back in 2008 we heard the McCain camp had something big on Obama too — supposedly Moochelle’s ‘whitey’ comment. But whatever it was, if anything, it never came out.
I am looking forward to this. Romney is sitting on $170 in CASH-ON-HAND. I hope it works. I’m not certain of that the USA can survive a second Obama term.
In the meantime, you can buy plenty of 'em here:
I can’t imagine that there’s anything big on Obama. For better or worse you can’t doubt who he’s for and what he wants to do. It doesn’t matter if he spent six months interning in Fidel Castro’s office in 1984 or he eight months traipsing around Europe with a gay lover or ten months in jail for dealing pot on 125th Street in 1985. At this point it shouldn’t make anyone more (or for that matter, less) likely to vote for him,
None of those people are changing their minds.
I have a similar opinion in that somebody's got this -- an IT guy, or in some LAT doofus' temp file -- and doesn't know it. A reward would make things interesting.
McCain himself would have never let anything such as that see the light of day.
Got to get moving, as early voting starts in less than a month in Iowa.
I am more worried about voter fraud than anything else. It gives the Dems lots of time to work on their registered voters, many of them added by groups like ACORN or its replacement.
