Clint Eastwood says he doesn't really care about the people who ripped his impromptu "chair" speech at the Republican National Convention, saying he was just expressing his feelings.
Eastwood appeared on "Good Morning America" this morning and the 82-year-old explained one of the reasons he didn't want to give a traditional speech off a teleprompter that night is because "I didn't have my glasses with me ... so I wouldn't have been able to read it."
Instead, he explained: "So then Im just sitting there and the guy says, You wanna sit down? and I said No, but put that [chair] next to the podium will ya.'"
And a legend was born.
When he was told that President Obama is still a fan of his, Eastwood said, "Well, that's his bad judgment."
As for the criticism Eastwood has received since the speech, he said: "There is something about the aging process that makes you give a crap less."

BRAVO, Mr. Eastwood!
If it bothers ANYONE on the left - it was a 1,000% success!
AND which speech are they still talking about. Clint is such a genious. This is too funny and I love the fact tha he’s OURS. So there. The left can have those lefty freaks, I’ll take Clint Eastwood on my side any day of the week. Proud to have liked him for all these years and I admire him even more today.
nuff said.
LOL!
This is so true! Way to speak honestly Clint!
This guys legend continues to grow.
Clint nails it once again.. well done!
bump
When the elections are a month away, I’m going to put an empty chair and a fake teleprompter in my front yard.
"There is something about the aging process that makes you give a crap less."
And that is exactly how we all should be responding to liberal criticism....
“When he was told that President Obama is still a fan of his, Eastwood said, “Well, that’s his bad judgment.”
*SMACK!!!* upside the head.
;D
Good Job Clint!!!
I totally agree .. the older I get the less I care if people are offended by what I say.
Love it!!! Such Freedom!!!

So true! I think of all the time I wasted worrying about what people thought about how I looked, what I did, or what I said. Now, I just don’t care anymore. If they don’t like me as I am, then it’s their loss. It is freedom, and better yet, it’s FUN!
I thought his commentary and presentation brilliant.
You never saw “Where Eagles Dare?” You have to try to count the number of Germans he kills in the movie. I will advise you to not try to make a drinking game out of it.
Oh my! You owe it to yourself to watch some of his famous movies such as The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, High em' High, A fistful of Dollars, Two Mules for Sister Sara, Dirty Harry, Magnum Force, and many more. I have been a Clint Eastwood fan since he was Rowdy Faber on Wagon Train many years ago.
I never even heard of Clint Eastwood during the Dirty Harry years. Amazing, right? I was raised on Broadway shows, ballet and movie musicals. Finally, thanks to cable, my horizons are broadening.
