This morning on CNN, the identity and past of scapegoated filmmaker Nikoula Nikoula was revealed to American audiences despite the private citizen's extraordinary attempts to conceal his identity.

I read where one middle eastern 28 year old woman converted to Christianity and fled to England, I think. Interpol helped find her, even though she left on her own will, and deported her or is going to deport her back to her country.
Where she will no doubt be executed.
Perhaps this is CNN’s way to try to stifle free speech by exposing people to the rage of the mob.
Well, he’s been in prison a couple of times, so I hope through the process, they checked his papers.
Maybe CNN is worried that the turmoil in the Middle East is a danger to Obama’s re-election, and they think that if the moviemaker is killed the Muslims will get over it and be friendly to Obama again.
The is the same technique employed by the left to “out” the defenders of marriage in California a couple year back.

I’m still not convinced allowing him to be mistreated in violation of the U. S. Constitution is in our best interest.
The nuances of this infringement will be totally lost on most of the populace. They’ll see this as reasonable under certain circumstances, and believe me, they can make anyone look vile enough to justify what they want to do.
Our government officials need to be called on this, vs a real defense of this guy. That’s the point.

Yes, there are many brave men and women who continue to put their lives on the line for the US, but our government has become autocratic and blind to the principles that upon which this nation was built. We now have only ‘selective justice’, based on what the oligarchy of elites hold sacred, or deem unacceptable.

I’m fairly comfortable with that description. The only part open to discussion is a matter of percentages, referencing how fully in practice this is observed.

I reject any narrative that says this film maker is at fault for the American deaths. Seems to me that the Muslim fanatics are at fault.
The film just dramatized the same questionably unproven background stories about the life of Mohammed that several people on this forum always repeat as fact. I have no idea what history says, but he just tried to tell that story, and I’m sure never thought it would be used to rile up so many people like that. Still was pretty crummy to have the actors not know what they were working on, but CNN is committing the far more obvious deed of endangering lives just to tell a story.

My challenge to you is to research the history, using orthodox Muslim sources (Koran, Haddiths, etc) to see if any of the scenes in the movie portray generally accepted events in the life & deeds of Mohammed.
A quick search on the scene of the old woman pulled apart by camels found this:

Thus, it appears that the most shocking scene in the movie YouTube trailer has a basis in historical references generally accepted by Muslims.
Now we are left with the question, "Is Truth a sufficient defense against charges of Defamation?"
