We’ll see in November.
I’d just like to note that The Coked-Out Howler Monkeys would be a great name for a band if you didn’t mind a little added police scrutiny.
Add CO to the willard list:
willard 257.
Add NH to the hussein list
hussein 243.
The betting line was 66 to 33 today. Time’s running out for Romney. Start spending it in FL, OH, VA and WI. Here in NC it’s about 50/50 Romney Heusain as far as the ads, but lately I’m seeing an Obama counter ad to Romen’s China ad. Romney needs to run that Obama Distribution of wealth ad and the ad where his grandmother points to the hospital in Kenya and says that’s where he was born.
Yeah, intrade has hussein at 67.5 right now. I think that’s high, but it gives you an idea.
FWIW, I think team willard has hired some very bright folks. Very alinskyite, Machiavellian to the core. And I think they’re unleashing their form of blitzkrieg.
Example. An organizer with the willard campaign stopped by my house tonite. Didn’t want to talk to me, but my wife who actually considers herself a republican. We don’t have party registration in VA... and I voted in the gop primary. But I’m clearly not a willard supporter...and they weren’t interested in me. Smart. Don’t waste your time with the unwinnable votes, go for the winnable ones.
So he asked a few questions of my wife, asked her to volunteer, asked her to allow a lawn sign.
After I finally picked my jaw up off the ground, I realized that for the first time in my memory I had seen direct and incontrovertible evidence of a ground game by a gop presidential candidate in VA.
Why now? Why not 2 months ago? Because I think they’ve done their research and noted that it’s the last 45 days that matter.
Romney is smart, and has money (now). He is focused on GOTV efforts. 45 days is a LONG time in presidential elections. As has been quoted a lot of races have been won and lost in the last 3 weeks.
May be wrong, but I think Romney is keeping his powder dry until the debates. He knows anything he does, the media will skew it. His only unfiltered forum will be the debates. I think he slams Obama hard the very first question on Debate #1. Obama will be rocked back with no telepromter. I saw what Romney did in the primary debates in Floriday when his back was up against the wall. He is capable. And their is too much good stuff to throw at Obama.
If the 47% comments don’t shift the polls, the next few days, I say Romney is in great shape. Otherwise, why the media in such a determined mode to take Romney down. They weren’t worried about McCain, so the MSMedia didn’t go after him (just palin, to prevent her from ever running again).
I think the 47% comments help him. We’ll see in the dailies for the next couple of days. Those who take offense weren’t going to vote for him anyway, most of the base saw it as refreshing candor.
