Thank God the world had Reagan and Thatcher when they were really needed.

Cometh the hour; cometh the man (and the woman too!)

Now and again, we are reminded of the sheer nastiness of a certain kind of Leftie. Not, let me stress, all Lefties:

A certain kind? They are ALL like that. They have written, spoken and demonstrated their desire to KILL anyone who disagrees with them.

No different here in American. A friend of mine who lives in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area told me that when the audience at Garisson Keiler’s Praire Home Companion performance learned that Ronald Regan had died, most if not all stood up and clapped and cheered.

I don’t have any leftist friends any more. As a group they
think we conservatives are just plain evil.

Thatcher was Europe’s last conservative legacy. She had many great achievements, taking on the unions, helping to bring down the iron curtain, retrieving the Falklands from the fascist Argentinians.

Unfortunately, thanks to spineless leftards on both sides of the ocean, these triumphs have been undone. The unions are running wild, ruining schools and pretty much anything else they touch. Russia and China are becoming increasingly hostile in the absence of Western power. Argentina is once again a belligerent dictatorship propped up by Venezuela.

How far we have fallen. Let us pray for our way of life.

Compare this articulated and intelligent Woman with that fig leaf a man that we have as a (p)resident now, a bumbling, STUPID man who can not, nor will not speak directly to the subject under consideration without lies, platitudes and a TelePrompTer.

Romney might want to study her knowledgeably and style. but especially her DIRECTNESS TO THE ISSUE AT HAND.

HOW DO THE BRITS, GOD LOVE THEM, KEEP THE QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS SO BRIEF AND TO THE POINT? Can you imagine a presidential debate in this country with such verve.

I am just old enough to remember the end of the Seventies: power cuts, three-day weeks, constant strikes, price and income controls, inflation.

Worst of all, I remember the sense of despair, the conviction that Britain was finished.

I was 27 years old in 1980 -- the Carter/Reagan election.

I, too, remember the despair, the shame, and the sense that I was living in a country whose best days were past.

Can kids today feel the same way I did 32 years ago?

Or is their memory so warped by the last couple decades that none of it matters anymore?
