The mullah’s in power are relative moderates compared to the Iranian Guards that would replace them, that believe the Imam will only come back if there is world war.
You don’t realize how deep the Armageddon jihadist nut cases are in Iran. There is already two military systems, the government and the Revolutionary Guards.
Killing the government leaders puts the Guards fully in charge and they are already running most of the nuke program.
If you are correct then they are the ones on which to concentrate. Deciding where to concentrate the killing is beyond my capacity.
I doubt it is beyond the capacity of the Mossad/IDF however.
My point was that there need not be total reliance on the air force. Combined covert ground action can play a significant role in the assault.
