Republican activists are incredulous: Why can't Republican Mitt Romney seem to break open a tight race with President Barack Obama given the nation's sluggish economy and conservative enthusiasm to beat the Democrat?
"He ought to be killing Obama, and he's clearly not doing that," said 32-year-old R.J. Robinson, one of the thousands of activists attending the annual Values Voters Summit this weekend. "He should be doing better."
Added Mike Garner, a 27-year-old hawking "Reagan was right" buttons at the meeting: "If Romney loses this election, the party really needs to do some soul-searching."
Their sentiments were echoed in interviews with more than a dozen GOP activists and social conservative leaders who attended the annual gathering focused on social and cultural issues and sponsored by the Family Research Council.
The summit was filled with rhetoric meant to fire up the party's base voters. Romney needs them to turn out in force at the polls in November and, between now and then, to convince others to do the same through extensive get-out-the-vote grassroots canvassing in swing-voting states...

Romney's "losing" because the MSM is making it look like he's losing. They're doing everything they can to make the polls allude to a tight race without breaching into "outright fraud" territory. We see the number of polled Dems is growing, yet no one calls them out on it.
See, we had to over-sample Dems in our poll because D comes before R, Donald was a duck, and convention bumps from Carter speeches kick in 30 days after - like acid flashbacks. Is it all clear to you now?
Maybe if the Puritans supported Romney instead of staying home and supporting Obama he would have a bigger lead?
Obama has the real poll numbers; and he’s running scared. - You don’t surely doubt why there’s a “crisis” a day, do you? - Batten down the hatches! MSM has to paint him a winner; he may be a fraud, but he’s their fraud. They think EVERYBODY is gonna vote for a perceived winner. - Why, all this murder and mayhem in the Middle East may even force the cancellation of the debates.

Freepers, there is a conspiracy out there! The lame-stream media is conducting polls using 2008 percentages for party-breakdown. This means that Dims are being over-sampled. This is why Zero is shown to be ahead WHEN HE IS NOT. And the lame-stream gets exposed every time they do this. So why do they keep doing it? Because if you tell a lie enough times, then people believe it. You are starting to now see Dim comments of “ALL these polls can’t be wrong. You wacko republicans just can’t deal with reality.”
Well, I don’t care if there are 20 or 2000 polls that show Zero ahead. If they have been weighted to party preference at 2008 levels then they are WRONG.
AND THIS STUPID ARTICLE WAS WRITTEN ACCEPTING THE PREMISE THAT THE POLLS ARE CORRECT!!!!
So if this is not a conspiracy, where is the proof that these polls are wrong? REMEMBER THE WISCONSIN RECALL? At 5pm on election day all media outlets were reporting that exit polling predicted it was TOO CLOSE TO CALL. The polling was done with the SAME over-sampling of Dims that the polls that show Zero ahead use. Anyone remember the result? Walker won 53-47.

Freepers, we have to get the word out that any poll using 2008 party weighting is WRONG. Already, because there are so many being put out, people on our side are starting to believe them and get dispirited. This is what the lame-streams want!
Maybe people find it hard to believe he will really create 12million new jobs.
I don’t believe the polls but it doesn’t help that Romney “agrees with some parts of Obamacare” and that Romney “thinks that Obama is really a nice guy”. This aisle crossing BS has got to stop.
Polls are meaningless, especially with those margins of error nonsense. But I will say this: Romney had better start going for the jugular and fast. Otherwise, he will lose.
