Today I went out into the field here in Chicago looking to talk to some of the striking teachers but no one in a red-shirt was anywhere to be found (or, if they were wearing one, they had nothing to do with the teachers’ union strike). A journalist friend of mine asked me to nose around and see if I could uncover anything about slain Ambassador Chris Stevens, who was rumored to be gay. A former “roommate” of Stevens by the name of Austin Tichenor lives and works in Chicago and while making calls to friends of mine in the theater world who know him I also thought to check some sources with the city who deal with the State Department and foreign dignitaries when they are in town.
Of course, they’ve all been talking about Ambassador Stevens’ murder by Muslims in Libya: and all of them are incredulous that the State Department sent a gay man to be ambassador to a Muslim country. News reports continue to indicate that the Muslims who murdered Stevens also raped him repeatedly, before and after his death.

I think everyone of good will is extremely upset - nervous - afraid - angry - about what’s going on and likely to happen.
It is not about digging up dirt on this man...not in the least. It is about the naive stupidity of sending this man to an islamic country and putting him in this much danger.
These people in this state department have no clue who and what they are dealing with when just a little reading of the koran and the surahs would give them a freaking clue.
Clueless...The point is not about this man's private life it is about the stupidity of not sending this man to Europe instead of an islamic country. The point is the state department is so clueless about islam in general that they thought sending this man would be peachy.
These people are supposed to be the best at dealing with foreign cultures and they are the ones who put this guys up to be killed in this way because they are too stupid to learn who they are dealing with. Apparently, that is the case. The liberals just don't ever seem to get this little factoid.
Personally, I think the people at Hillbuzz should be most ashamed for posting this for hits and reads. The man suffered one of the most brutal tortures in death; tortured while alive and then to carry the evil violence to Mr, Stevens body is not only barbarian but pure Satanic. His personal life should not be brought into this. He was a grown man and probably wanted to go. He was betrayed. I am deeply sorry that he suffered. It has been horrific to think about this. I think the man deserves to rest in peace. No one deserves this. I suspect the author of the site hates Obama so much; this is geared for that so why I say they should be ashamed.
I think the gay community in the US should be totally outraged that a known gay ambassador was sent to Egypt with little or no protection. Guards with no ammo,threats that were ignored! What does this say about our rumored Sec. of State and potus both who are also rumored to be bi-sexual if not gay as well.Nothing in this administration makes any sense.
Why would they put someone who is at super risk among a mass of crazed nut cases like the gay-hating muzzie Islamists in Egypt? And then take away all his protection/security. Was this guy sacrificed?
Libya
State Department is heavily gay and has been for years. Gays work there in a higher percentage than gays in the general population. Gays are over represented in the entire DC area in the Federale Gov’t. They simply adore those fab fab fabulous Federale jobs. Part of the reason the Federale Gov’t is so dysfunctional is very high amount of affirmative action hires of all kins...black, Hispanic, gay, female. All kinds of 3rd world immigrants are eligible to get affirmative action the day they step off the banana boat.
Yes women get affirmative action despite being very powerful in DC and being 51% of the population
