Today I went out into the field here in Chicago looking to talk to some of the striking teachers but no one in a red-shirt was anywhere to be found (or, if they were wearing one, they had nothing to do with the teachers’ union strike). A journalist friend of mine asked me to nose around and see if I could uncover anything about slain Ambassador Chris Stevens, who was rumored to be gay. A former “roommate” of Stevens by the name of Austin Tichenor lives and works in Chicago and while making calls to friends of mine in the theater world who know him I also thought to check some sources with the city who deal with the State Department and foreign dignitaries when they are in town.
Of course, they’ve all been talking about Ambassador Stevens’ murder by Muslims in Libya: and all of them are incredulous that the State Department sent a gay man to be ambassador to a Muslim country. News reports continue to indicate that the Muslims who murdered Stevens also raped him repeatedly, before and after his death.

My main point was that I don’t think he was raped because he was gay, if indeed he was gay.

the relevance is that Obama put him at an increased risk level based on his sexual orientation. Not good judgement.
I watched the murdered man on video from a speech, and my inferior and fallible "gaydar" went off. I'm right only half the time.

However, in this one, it is relevant to the 'contention' that two of his non-American, Libyan provided employees had made an issue of his being gay, and that they are the ones who did the ceremonial 'rape'. (which is kind of hypocritical, but in line with their 'culture').

BUT... what if the 'protesters' who (allegedly) raped him and carried him through the streets did it because they THOUGHT (or knew) he was GAY ?

Why was Stevens the ONLY AMBASSADOR that has been killed, out of all the 'protests' going on at Embassies ? Why is he the only one that has been drug through the streets ?
There were many people killed in the Convoy Ambush. Why didn't anyone drag their bodies around (or reports of such)?
They killed him for being American, not for being gay. I get the point, but for the author to seek verification of something almost obvious in order to question his appointment (politicize) is pathetic. Anyone notice that the ambassador to egypt is female? Muslims don’t respect women, yet there she is. Wise? No. Deserving of death? No.
If I were Sarah I would ask you to change your screen name. Why this idiotic thread hasn’t been taken down is beyond me. Moderators asleep at the wheel maybe. Then again, they probably approve, which is just another reason FR is becoming less and less relevant to rational thinking people.
