This is a serious charge that they have leveled on the pope. They are essentially telling him to bow to shariah law. And by doing so publicly they are clearly sending a signal to their violent Jihadi co-religionists, who are now likely to target the pope and Catholic churches. This is a serious, serious escalation.
I’ll be interested to hear comments from Bill Donohue from the Catholic League if he’s on any of the Sunday talk shows. Even though I’m not Catholic, I admire the stand he takes and his outspoken-ness.
