Administration officials have asked YouTube to review a controversial video that many blame for spurring a wave of anti-American violence in the Middle East.
The administration flagged the 14-minute "Innocence of Muslims" video and asked that YouTube evaluate it to determine whether it violates the site's terms of service, officials said Thursday. The video, which has been viewed by nearly 1.7 million users, depicts Muhammad as a child molester, womanizer and murderer -- and has been decried as blasphemous and Islamophobic.
YouTube declined comment on the administration request.
Earlier in the week, YouTube said it found that the video was "clearly within" its guidelines, which bar sexually explicit content, gratuitous violence, hate speech and what it termed "bad stuff" such as animal abuse, under-age drinking and bomb-making.

For you video collectors out there I recommend “Download Helper”, a FireFox add-on, if you would like to save this video to your own computer. It may well disappear from YouTube at any time.
The video is pretty weak acting-wise, dialogue-wise and production-wise but the video itself is very, very high quality HD. Clearly much of it was done against a green-screen with high quality cameras.
Not that the video has anything to do with anything.

1) youtube has pulled MANY “anti-muslim” videos, that were much more mild. (and much higher quality!)
2) supposedly this video is getting people killed, and liberals are calling for the creator to be arrested.
yet, none of those liberals are demanding the video simply be pulled ?

The only thing I see wrong with this statement is that it doesn’t state - but only implies - that Muhammad was a worthless asshole and the world would have been far better off had his mother found a way to abort him.
I dont think he’s calling for censorship, but after seeing MANY things pulled, he’s wondering why THIS one isn’t. What is the REASON for this being up so long? After all the problems it is SUPPOSEDLY causing, YOUTUBE would be remiss for not banning it, and yet, there it is for ALL the world to see.
