Prize-winning journalist Jeffrey Goldberg of the Atlantic doubts the veracity of the reports that a film mocking Mohammed was made by an Israeli Jew named Sam Bacile. A long trailer for the film has sparked savage rioting in Arab countries.
Goldberg wrote Wednesday that he has spoken to a man named Steve Klein – "a self-described militant Christian activist in Riverside, California," who has been described in press accounts as a consultant to the film.
"Klein told me that Bacile, the producer of the film, is not Israeli, and most likely not Jewish, as has been reported, and that the name is, in fact, a pseudonym," reported Goldberg.
Klein said the man who identified himself as Bacile asked him to help make the anti-Mohammed film. "When I asked him to describe Bacile," wrote Goldberg, "he said: 'I don't know that much about him. I met him, I spoke to him for an hour. He's not Israeli, no. I can tell you this for sure, the State of Israel is not involved, Terry Jones (the radical Christian Quran-burning pastor) is not involved. His name is a pseudonym. All these Middle Eastern folks I work with have pseudonyms. I doubt he's Jewish. I would suspect this is a disinformation campaign.'"
"I asked him who he thought Sam Bacile was. He said that there are about 15 people associated with the making of the film, 'Nobody is anything but an active American citizen. They're from Syria, Turkey, Pakistan, they're some that are from Egypt. Some are Copts but the vast majority are Evangelical.'"

I want to know WHO claimed this movie was the reason for the rioting/murdering. Who came up with that? Was it reporters just guessing? Was it somone on the ground in Egypt. Who said it was some movie?
These murderers don’t care if the film maker is Jewish....they simply do not want to hear about the real Mohammad.
I’d say the Democrats rubbing in the fact that Obama killed Osama had more to do with it than some stupid movie.

The part that is interesting about this is that just the trailer has nudged the muslims to cast off their false mask of ‘The Religion of Peace’ and reveal their true murderous being for us to see. If only we would look.
A caller on Neal Boortz said he was Egyptian this morning and said it like he almost knew the guy.
From that clip I’d say this film was probably made by Ed Wood in 1965. It became the property of the processing lab when he could not pay the bill. It was grabbed by a member of the moving crew when the lab went out of business, and left in a storage locker where it was recently discovered after being sold at auction.
It is so clear that this film probably had NOTHING to do with the attacks on our embassies, and moreover that it is most likely a modern-day Protocols of the Elders of Zion. Good grief.

Thanks for the links, I'll look at them in a bit. Am I becoming a conspiracy nut? We've got this film, shown once in 2010, the preview now uploaded. The filmaker, speaking from hiding, is "Israeli". But Israel has no record of a citizen with his name, not unusual. At least we know he's Jewish, not uncommon in Hollywood. He made this film with, he claims, upwards of 40 actors and the same number behind the scenes. I'm sure one of them will be talking soon. Depending on the source, the $5 million film was financed by "Jewish" money, or 100 Jews. Not 99 or 101, and no evangelicals allowed. Stupid Hollywood Jews I might add, spending $5 million on this. But there are stupid Jews, even in Hollywood. This smells like "sleeper" media to me, publicized when the time was right. First I've ever heard of. But not a bad idea at all. Am I nuts?

This film - which nobody had ever heard of before 9/11/12 - happened to be made by an “Israeli Jew” and just happened to be financed by “100 Jews”? Not 100 people - 100 Jews. Give me a break!

In the clip below, controversial TV host Sheikh Khaled Abdallah (known for such statements as “Iran is more dangerous to us than the Jews” and that Tehran had engineered a deadly soccer riot in Port Said) hypes the film as an American-Coptic plot and introduces what he says is its opening scene.
Bacile‘s film was dubbed into Egyptian Arabic by someone he doesn’t know, but he speaks enough Arabic to confirm that the translation is accurate. It was made in three months in the summer of 2011, with 59 actors and about 45 people behind the camera.

I also read that SOMEONE arranged for a screening of it to SUDANESE YOUTH over in the Middle East (which would explain why someone dubbed it into Arabic).

AND... it is as if each one of them copied the story from some ‘original source’, and did a little ‘editing’ to try and disguise the plagiarism.
Would have been a better movie if it starred Bruce Campbell with a chainsaw for an arm dishing it back to the jihadis.
What if I told you it was American Jews (JOURNOLISTS) that are trying to provoke the Islamists into attacking Israel?
