The fallout appears to linger in the Missouri Senate race, with incumbent Democrat Claire McCaskill still holding a six-point lead over Republican challenger Todd Akin. But the race is tightening.

Romney would have no authority to “repeal” anything on day one. ONLY Congress has the authority to repeal anything. What Mitt said was that he would offer waivers to any state which wanted one. That has not changed. That is an effective repeal.
The Court decision has actually made it easier to repeal Obamacare by declaring it a “tax”. This means it can be part of a “reconciliation” bill and therefore not subject to filibuster.
Most of it will be repealed. There may be some things in its 2000 pages which are not bad ideas. Ryan would know.
This is what I expected. You are a tiny island of purity in a RINO world. Now the state legislatures are part of the establishment (just another word for the MAJORITY)?
Every redistricting is liable to be brought into federal court including this one. There is none which cannot be challenged by the Civil Rights Establishment (this is one you should be worried about not the mythical GOP one.)
Since you are a bit thick I will type slower. To Karl Rove, also add Charles Krauthammer, George Will, Mitt Romney, John Boehner, Ann Coulter and Sean Hannity. For you and for these elite authoritarians, the people of Missouri elected Akin as the candidate. He is not a newcomer - he is a 12 year congressman with a 97% lifetime ACU rating. Unlike Boehner and Paul Ryan, Akin voted against TARP, he voted against the last 3 or 4 raises in the debt ceiling, he voted against the government takeover of GM. He has a much better record in public policy than the Presidential candidate, who spends most of his time telling us all how swell Obama is. So, please get behind Akin since he is the candidate and quit supporting McCaskill.
Akin cannot catch up because 4 percent (up from 2 a month ago) are going with “somebody else” (which means, in Missouri, the Libertarian Party candidate). So, Claire McCaskill need only get 48.1 percent to win, and she has 49 percent.
The Democrats spent $1.5 million dollars to get Akin the nomination.
Claire, was one of the first sitting senators that rolled out the "red" carpet, against old Hillry (I spell it like bjClinton says it) in Independence, MO. Now Claire has spent the past year hunting moderate centrist costume as if she NEVER knew Obama and he is nowhere near her campaign.
Mock and sneer all you want, but you are not nearly as bright as you consider yourself.
Nonsense. Rove was reported to have basically been running the RNC in 2008 when they set up the rules intended to get Romney nominated. And Rove's SuperPAC controls an enormous amount of money and is enormously influential in Republican politics. Rove, Romney, the RNC, Fox News and Drudge are the key power centers in the Republican party establishment who basically control the party.
LoL
and on November 6th they will be kicking themselves in regret.
Seriously, if you don’t know that this kind of behind the scenes type of stuff goes on all the time (and it doesn’t even need to involve establishment vs. conservatives...it can just as easily be political factions around certain personalities), then you really are a neophyte. It’s what happened to Hayworth, and why he was districted into a much more centrist district that includes a large chunk of urban Maricopa County (read Phoenix). This remains so, whether you choose to believe it or not.
Correct on the “sore loser” law allowing Murkowski back into the race. Buck and Angle are completely incorrect analysis - Angle had huge amounts of funding support and both Rove’s Crossroads groups and the NRSC had expenditures on her behalf, and even more so in CO with Buck. They lost due to making odd comments which made personality more of a factor than actual issues.
Women love rumors, I don’t.
Of course alliances exist in politics. Some are successful, some not. If we do not learn how to be successful and make the right alliances then we are left howling at the moon.
That’s fine, you’re free to be wrong, after all.
If I ever am I’ll let you know.
No need, you already have.
Only in your mind.
Wonder why there are 10 million descendants in India as a result of invading armies since Alexander the Great, Tamarlane and Chengiz Khan days. As far as I know none of the sex between marauding soldiers and indigent females was consensual.
We know that rape is less likely to result in conception than consensual sex, if for no other reason than that people who engage in consensual sex are more likely to actually be trying to concieve, and therefore are targetting for the woman's ovulation time, whereas rape is more or less "random" and therefore the chance of it occurring during a woman's ovulation cycle is smaller.
