I would resign as ambassador before I would let such a statement be issued from my embassy. Having failed to resign yesterday, she should certainly resign today to protest the failures of the president whom she serves and who’s complete and total uselessness led to the death of her counterpart in Libya.
And she should make it clear why she is resigning.
There was a poster on a very early thread this morning who had known the Ambassador and worked with her in some other posting, and said she was very professional and a true career diplomat who would never have written or issued a statement like that.
It would be wonderful if she’d resign, although I’m not getting my hopes up.
