Embassy personnel hang their asses out over the line and they look to the Flag as their protection and salvation in hostile surroundings. Can you imagine their horror at reading that we are sending apologies to the savage mob as our embassy burns and our flag is trampled underfoot?
ping
Probably frantically sewing the ambassadors head back on before the American press gets there.
So 4 died ???
The fact that it was the ambassador himself is big...
Neither Obama not Willard have denounced the Islamic terrorists...
Obama apologized and Wilard used this poor guy’s death as an excuse to get political against Obama...
We are in a heap of trouble with our lack of national security and no leadership...now or next year...
Hard to say. Could have been trapped in a room that was on fire.
"The American ambassador and three staff members were killed when gunmen fired rockets at them," the official in Benghazi told Reuters. Asked about the deaths, a U.S. Embassy employee in Tripoli said: "We have no information regarding this." The employee said the embassy could confirm the death of one person.
The Libyan official said the U.S. ambassador had been on his way to a safer venue after protesters attacked the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi and opened fire, killing a staff member, in protest at a U.S. film that they deemed blasphemous to the Prophet Mohammad."....................
Isn’t that considered an act of war?
“Isnt that considered an act of war?”
It used to be ...
Thanks, that's what I thought....
Only if the POTUS isn't a Muslim sympathizer...
Which means now its just considered the boys in the embassy neighborhood were blowing off a little steam. Nothing to see here, move along, and if you have the time for this then you have time to volunteer to help with the campaign to get Barry re-elected!
Reuters is now reporting ...
“The official said the ambassador and three other staff were killed when gunmen fired rockets at his car. He said the U.S. Embassy had sent a military plane to transport the bodies to Tripoli to fly them to the United States.”
How Obama responds to this will determine whether he is re-elected or not.
Stop posting your crap on all these threads. You have NO idea what a Romney administration response to this would be.
Obamas foreign policies in Libya are as effective as his economic policies at home.
But far too many of the voting idiots of American citizenry think he deserves yet another four years. God spare us!
Yeah I prefer the Mob acted Stupidly

For however it helps, most Embassy and consulate personnel
are citizens of the host country.
There are relatively few US citizens working in them.
It sounds like Stevens was the only American killed.
