Hi, Kathy. I appreciate your pings, and read everything, thought I rarely post.
I have been thinking all day about tomorrow. All those people; all the families whose lives were changed. My prayers are with them.
Sorry for the double post! I accidentally hit the left click thing on the mouse before it posted. When this happens, I try to go back, but it’s always too late.
Take care, everyone in the Canteen. Even though I was living here, I will never forget that gorgeous September morning; I had just dropped off my son at kindergarten, and heard about the first attack on a NY radio channel. When I got home, I turned on CNN and watched, live, as the second plane hit. I started to cry, thinking, how many people have I just seen die?
Then they said that the Sears Tower in Chicago could be another target; I panicked because my dad was working as a lawyer in downtown Chicago.
And of course, like so many, I couldn’t reach any of my family in the States; the phone lines were burning.
There are really no words to express that day, and I say that as someone who lived in another country. I cannot even imagine what it must be like for Americans living in the U.S. on that day.
Not to worry about the double post....we make them all the time.
Thanks for the prayers...tomorrow is going to be really rough for a lot of families.
