President Obama's lead over Governor Romney shrinks from 7 points in August to 2 points in September, according to the latest Investor's Business Daily/Christian Science Monitor/TIPP Poll. Romney gains support from men, southern, rural, and Hispanic voters this month.

So Obama is leading by 2 points(Oh the horror, yesterday I was told the election was over!) but they are oversampling Dems by 5 points, so according to my calculations, that would mean that Romney is actually leading by 3 points
Gallup and Ras are on a rolling average, 5 day for gallup and 3 day for Ras. So they (especially Gallup) are still picking up the tail end of the democrat convention.
Thank you for including the breakdown.
Still oversampling Dems at a 2008 rate.
Romney is up.
In unrelated news, today the Justice Department filed an insider trading suit against Investor’s Business Daily and a religious discrimination suit against the Church of Jesus Christ, Scientist. /sarc
I’m still sticking with D+2 sample. We’ll see if that holds. I don’t feel like recalculating but I think that would put us at a tie or slightly ahead with all the undecideds. Who knows what they’re thinking?
Ha! Owe me a keyboard
Democrats are not likely to have a 5-point advantage at the polls this November either. So we likely have a tie or Romney slightly ahead.
“And they’re coming around the clubhouse turn, and....here comes Beetlebalm!”
Rush was calling BS on most of these polls today. Their purpose right not is not measurement but discouragement. They want to show that Obama is doing okay so there is no sense to go out and vote him down. Of course, the REAL numbers will come out just before the election.
Followed closely by Stewball.
TIPP did a great job in 2008, in tracking the undecided voters. I held out hope that they would all break to McCain but the TIPP poll election morning showed them breaking to Obama, so I knew there wasn’t even a chance.
Silly Ravi! LOL
Makes sense.
If you can’t believe a poll, who can you believe?
Sarcasm
Seriously, it seems clear that they doctor these polls, so that they can claim that Obama is more popular than he really is.
Right! LOL!
Wow, someone quick, pinch me. A good news polling thread on FR. Haven’t seen one of those lately. OK, I’ll put the cyanide down now.
This thread is useless without a concern troll.
Oh won’t someone tell us it is all over?!?!?!
