Obama’s Campaign Manager Jim Messina announced the figure for August late Sunday night.

Romney’s campaign brought in $111 million last month.

I agree. Publicly listed political fundraising numbers are carefully manipulated particularly by the Democrats to create the appearance of positive campaign momentum when needed. It is a methodology used to boost the perceived post convention “bounce” phenomena. This is calculated to help float their boat in the polling at a crucial time and demoralize the supporters of the competition. They have had fund raising bundlers all across the nation holding funds back to produce this surge in contributions. This is also designed to encourage late contributors who want to be on the “winning side” to pony up for the last big push. Typical of the Democrat’s candidate, this is all about perception, not about reality.

“I think Romney had better rethink his campaign strategy from bottom to top. I have said since before the election in 2008 that the only way to defeat Obama is to morally destroy him. Romney has shown no fastidiousness in destroying his primary opponents. I do not believe that Obama’s race warrants such careful handling now.”

This is NOT going to be a “jobs and unemployment” type of campaign.

If Romney and his people (and Freepers, too) believe they can win on these issues alone, they have another think coming.

This is a “social/moral issues” campaign as well. Perhaps moreso.

It’s the “gut issues” that have “made the difference” in the past. They are as much today.

Conservatism is NOT about economics as much as it’s about social, cultural, and moral precepts. Get the latter right, and the former will follow along as a matter of course.

Don’t go after Obama’s wallet.
Go after his throat!

Deo vindice!

The problem is that's not Mitt's forte.

“Someone mentioned earlier about the cult of personality with Obama. It is VERY real.”

Someone ought to create a huge bust of his head, and mount it amongst the rest of them on Easter Island... :)

Five hundred years from now, who would know?

Should be the Obama Campaign Theme Song:

Cult of Personality - Living Colour

Look in my eyes, what do you see?
The cult of personality
I know your anger, I know your dreams
I’ve been everything you want to be
I’m the cult of personality
Like Mussolini and Kennedy
I’m the cult of personality
The cult of personality
The cult of personality

Neon lights, a Nobel prize
Than the mirror speaks, the reflection lies
You won’t have to follow me
Only you can set me free

I sell the things you need to be
I’m the smiling face on your TV
I’m the cult of personality
I exploit you, still you love me
I tell you one and one makes three
I’m the cult of personality
Like Joseph Stalin and Gandhi
I’m the cult of personality
The cult of personality
The cult of personality

Neon lights, a Nobel prize
When a leader speaks, that leader dies
You won’t have to follow me
Only you can set you free

You gave me fortune
You gave me fame
You gave me power in your god’s name
I’m every person you need to be
I’m the cult of personality (I’m the cult of, I’m the cult of)
I’m the cult of, I’m the cult of, I’m the cult of, I’m the cult of (I’m the cult of)
I’m the cult of, I’m the cult of, I’m the cult of, I’m the cult of personality

And let’s not forget pompous, arrogant and condescending. Bring out those qualities in him, and he’s done for.

You mean the one where roughly 75% of the GOP voters chose someone OTHER than Romney? Yeah I think I came across it a few times.
