The teleprompters are on the high side, evidently, and it makes his talk seem even more contrived, as he has to look up, rather than address the audience who is below him. But then — again — it does help him to keep that chin up where he likes it.
I can’t believe how some in that audience are swallowing it. Such BS he is gushing out!
The platform they built is also high. On the wide shot, you can see he is elevated very high from the convention floor.
