Republicans signaled this week that they might have given up hope in two important swing states. TPM Slideshow: Romney Takes The Stage At The RNC
The Romney campaign and conservative groups like Crossroads GPS have pulled TV ads in Michigan, Romneys home state, according to the Detroit News.
Nor are the campaign and super PACs running advertising in Pennsylvania, after unleashing a barrage there over the past five months.
It is still possible for groups to purchase TV advertising in either state at a later date.
The PollTracker Averages show President Obama ahead 48.9 percent to 45.4 percent in Michigan, and in Pennsylvania, where he leads 49.9 percent to 41.4 percent.

I hope this is a head fake or some other tactic, and not a McLame Redux....
What?! I thought Pennsylvania was do-able for the Republican ticket.
Forget PA. Hit VA, CO & OH hard.
I do not see how it can benefit any candidate to say “hey we can’t win your state so good bye, we wont even try”
Omgoodness, I dont want to hear this. I wanna fight!!
Yes but to give up on Michigan when it has the most Conservative House, Senate and Judicary in years? Even if the Governor is a soft “R”, he still brings a lot to the table...
Add Ohio to that list.
It’s because the Obama’s lawyers went after Romney for raising money in a foreign country (Israel) but it’s okay for Obama to take money from the Chinese
If true, Romney is another McLame.
Not again!!! How many millions was McLame sitting upon when he lost?
This has already been debunked.
Same here. Michigan looks winnable.
He’s giving them to obama without a fight? Not a good signal to send. obama isn’t giving any state up, even though he has less money than Romney.
and so it begins.............
Note the source. TPM is a hard-left-biased news and opinion site.

There’s similar article about OH too.
This is just propaganda, there’s not way Romney can concede OH, MI, and PA.
The campaign is probably just saving resources until the DNC freak show is over, and then will go on a blitz.
Romney seems to have put enough resources to show that he really does want to be President, unlike McCain.
THIS HAS ALREADY BEEN DEBUNKED
PA and MI are second tier states in most electoral strategies. This election will be won and lost with Ohio, Florida, Virginia and Wisconsin. Or more suscinctly, whomever wins three of the four of Ohio, Florida, Missouri and Pennsylvania will win the election, as always. PA trends Democrat. MO Republican.
