GMO = genetically modified organisms.
We are one of a few developed countries that allows GM foods. The majority of US corn and some other crops are GM Roundup Ready unless they are labeled organic.
She wants to at least have labels on the food so we can choose to eat it or not. Monsanto, their friends in Congress, and the FDA are against any labeling.
