Jerusalem is the center of the world so everyone obsesses about Jerusalem whether it be Christians with via doloroso which I have visited. Whether it be Muslim who want to kill the Jews and take it over.

Strange isn’t it, that Jerusalem should be considered this way in the modern world. I agree that it is the center of focus in certain ways.
What is also true, is that if Israel controls it, access for all will continue, and all religious artifacts will be protected.
If not, access will be severely limited and you can bet the farm Jewish sites will be destroyed.
