A day after saying, no, the country was not better off than it was four years ago, Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley reversed course on Monday and said, yes, indeed it was.
We are clearly better of as a country because were now creating jobs rathare than losing them, OMalley, a Democrat, said on CNNs Starting Point. But we have not recovered all that we lost in the Bush recession. Thats why we need to continue to move forward.

Well, one new job appeared in Maryland this year. It’s the one I took. It went to an Illinoisan, bwa-ha-ha-ha....
CC
And I got the one two years ago. I’m from Michigan
Well, it looks like another Democrat who tells the truth got sent to the re-education woodshed.
O’Malley is a lame duck in Maryland, He has had his two terms and spent them taxing the piss out of us.
Now he is shoving queers down out throats.
Nothing coming out of Baltimore is worth a spit in Maryland or to the country.
I give you O’Malley and Pelosi as living proof of that.
The funniest part is watching these clowns frantically and incoherently reverse themselves after getting the “WTF?” call from Chicago.
I suspect O’Malady was trying to be clever when he first answered No and tried to deflect it all on GWB. He’s a jerk anyway no matter what he says. The Sept. O8 crash wasn’t the fault of GWB but he got the blame. In any event OblahMao can’t fix it so why should he be re-hired.
Heheheh... and the rest of them came south to VA. We like having the freak state as our northern neighbor. It gives us someone to pity when times are rough here.
Seriously, it’s crazy. I’m no Mensa genius, but I did knock on hundreds if not thousands of doors from coast to coast till this one happened. The new trend in high-tech seems to be contractors, rather than traditional hires. If you have a half decent resume and put it out there nationwide and follow up doggedly on all ads, you will get dozens of calls each week. corp-corp.com is a website that is very busy with this kind of activity right now.
I gotta say,. this place seems like a hotbed of technical activity. I’m not in that field but I live near Aberdeen Proving Ground and see lots of movement that way.
Were now creating jobs rathare than losing them.
25 million people out of work want to know WHERE?.
If it was so obvious we were better off, you wouldn’t have had to say we weren’t as your first answer.
Goes hand in hand with the use of temps and part time labor. Anything to not add a body to the payroll on a full time basis. Its a sad turn of events.
What I’m doing isn’t tied to Washington, D.C. It does have government contracts, but this is in the quasi-public area of administering toad rolling (I mean road tolling) pretty much all over the East Coast and a few West Coast clients. There’s a huge amount of room for improvement — nobody honest wants incorrect or delayed toll bills — and that keeps developers busy.
However there must be a bunch of activity here that does have to do with Washington, DC. I realized that when I used Zillow to look at the prices of homes in pipsqueak small towns and saw asking prices that would make Chicagoans faint.
It’s a lemon out of which lemonade has to be made, or else starve. Obamistic regulation is largely to blame for this sort of hire-phobia. Gone are the days when a place like IBM would give someone a career lasting decades.
Even liberals largely feel that Obama has disappointed.
Real profile in courage.
