Dems bring in crowds by the busload to fill stadium for Obama speech.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – College students from across North Carolina will arrive in Charlotte by the busload. Same with members of predominantly black churches in neighboring South Carolina.

Their goal: help fill a 74,000-seat outdoor stadium to capacity when President Obama accepts the Democratic nomination Thursday night.

Anything short of a full house on the final night of the Democratic Party's national convention will be instant fodder for Republicans eager to use empty seats as symbols of waning voter enthusiasm for Obama.

The GOP, should be going to all black churches and telling them about the homo marriage and who supports it.

Get the message out any way possible. Anyone with a conscience will drop support for him. But, they have to hear it and see it with their own eyes! When they do they realize what he is all about.

Wow, can you imagine the cost of the paper bags handed out to hide the free pints of booze?

Bet one of the bathrooms behind the stands is a crack house and another a daycare.

Plenty of crank handy if the Obamanoids get too sleepy.

These are the insurgent majority voters of America FRiends—they who vote for gimmies and screw the gimmers...Ayn Rand was an optimist.

It will be interesting to see what they do with 75K people when it rains. Charlotte can’t accomodate that many people in an indoor venue.

There is no ‘contingency’ plan for 73K from what I’ve heard. They said the event will go on ‘rain or shine’ unless there is severe weather (lightning). The other thing I’ve heard is that it will be just like the football games ... if it rains, tough for the crowd. If there is lightning, the crowd will have to move to the concession areas where there is some cover. In other words, if it rains, it will be a MESS!! Obama/Biden are not scheduled to go to the covered convention hall which is why security is much lighter there ... all the SS efforts are at the stadium. Come on Leslie!! :-)

Even so, it seems a better strategy than holding an event in an empty Ford Field stadium. When the pictures are published, people don’t generally demand to know how they got there.

Correcto mundo. You get a free bus ride to someplace, anyplace ‘cause you don't have money to go anywhere, you get free food (the bread) and you can get violent if you feel like it (the circuses.)

We need to know what freebees these mooches do get...do their ads for warm bodies state what's in it for them if they sign up to ride to the stadium?

As I noted on another thread, there’s an Obama event worth watching in Norfolk tomorrow—but on for the turnout. The Anoited One is holding a campaign rally at Norfolk State University, the region’s largest historically black college.

But Obama won’t be appearing at the campus football stadium (which seats about 30,000), or the basketball arena (which has at least 7,000 seats). Instead, it’s going to be an outdoors event.

Believe me, Zero wouldn’t have any trouble getting permission to hold the rally at one of the sports arenas, but instead he’s going outside, for a very good reason: even on a black college campus, with students back for the fall term, he’s worried about his ability to draw a crowd. With an outdoor event, you can cram people into a relatively small area and create the appearance of a larger crowd.

Also worth noting that Obama is ignoring the campus crowd at Old Dominion University, located less than 10 miles away. If Obama wanted to demonstrate his “popularity” in Hampton Roads (and among the college crowd), why not have a joint event for ODU and NSU, which could be held at the ODU stadium or the Ted Constant Convocation Center, which seats over 9,000.

The media will likely brag about the “big” turnout for Obama tomorrow, but it’s safe bet that Zero will attract a much smaller crowd than the Ryan announcement in downtown Norfolk a few weeks ago.

My prediction is that within 48 hours, they move to speech back to the convention center citing “weather concerns”. The real reason will be that they will not be getting the numbers of people they need to fill the stadium.

MY WISH, I HOPE SOME FREEPERS FULFILL:

Some people sneak in, show up and unfurl a banner ...

“Obama Lied. Jobs Died.”

For once, I’d like to see the One upstaged by a protest.

Pardon me, but did you say "full HOUSE?"

Biden's not playing with a full DECK.

Cheers!
