Maryland Democratic Gov. Martin O'Malley said Sunday that Americans are not better off under President Obama than they were four years ago, a somewhat startling admission that Republicans and Mitt Romney immediately pounced on.
On CBS's "Face the Nation" Sunday morning, host Bob Schieffer asked O'Malley if he can "honestly say that people are better off today than they were four years ago."
"No," O'Malley said, "but that's not the question of this election."
"The question," he continued, "without a doubt, we are not as well off as we were before George Bush brought us the Bush job losses, the Bush recession, the Bush deficits, the series of desert wars, charged for the first time to credit cards, the national credit card..." "George Bush is not on the ballots," Schieffer quipped.
The first sentence was good enough for the Romney campaign. It's a somewhat baffling admission because the Obama campaign has explicitly avoided giving a "Yes" or "No" answer to the question during the campaign in hopes of avoiding a bad soundbite.
That was the case on both ABC's "This Week" and "Fox News Sunday," where advisers David Plouffe and David Axelrod both avoided a direct answer.

A Democrat activist & elected official in Michigan told me a long time ago that Bayh is a no-go for President. He doesn’t subscribe 100% to the pro-infanticide sacrament (and even if he does, that he didn’t vote that way will be enough to make him unacceptable).
Unless, the RATS smarten up and go with a “centrist”. I guess that depends on how badly the’re blown out in 2 months.
BTW, Bayh did vote for ObamaCare. If he didn’t have that stain on him, he’d be a formidable candidate*.

I am learning that Romney wants to take away our birth control, our reproductive options, our education, or jobs, our health care and our right to vote. In addition he wants to raise our taxes to pay for tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires while Obama won the war on terrorism and wants us free to marry the *person* we *love*.
We will see how many buy this *stuff*

I only tuned in for a few minutes at a time, but started laughing when I heard Michelle say something about Obama refusing well-paid jobs so he could help people. Did Michelle mean that Community Organizer job?
That was pretty much the theme. MO saying that Obama is a saint who doesnt care about personal gain and only cares about helping people and that's why she loves him. Meanwhile The Cosby Mom in the WH is vacationing in Europe with the kids at our expense.
