Segal said that, when considering the imperative to attack, Netanyahu and Barak reason that “we may have reached the moment of truth” after which it would be too late to stop Iran, and that “the price of an attack is far lower than the price of inaction.” It will be “a matter of a few months” before it is too late, Segal said — before, that is, Iran would be immune from damage by an Israeli strike.

The window to have an effective strike is closing rapidly!

Israel’s leaders have also noted that president George W. Bush vowed repeatedly that North Korea would not be allowed to attain a nuclear weapons capability — a vow that proved empty.

Yep. Nothing in Washington is so cheap as talk. Bush gave obama a lot of cover with his empty pontifications.

May God be with them. Unfortunately, we won’t.

If you read about supposedly secret deliberations by the Israeli government, you know it’s not true. They don’t leak those things.

Iran’s entire nuclear program is predicated on a lie and they need to suffer the consequences of their deceit. Israel would not be out of bounds if they set of an EMP over Iranian airspace and fried their circuitry, especially since Iran has repeatedly threatened Israel with complete annihilation. It would be a preemptive yet defensive move and I’d hope that all their talk of an October attack would mean that they’re actually going to make their move in September.

Go Israel!

I think that Obama moved our carrier groups to the Persian Gulf, not to stop Iran, but to stop an Israeli attack on Iran.

This might not be so disastrous for the election. All actions seem to point to Obama NOT following Israel into war (even though his inaction and cowardice caused it). He hates Israel and that might trump his desire for power. Can he stomach coming to their aid? Personally, I hope Benjamin rockets Ahmedinnerjacket’s presidential palace.

Well he is Muslim and his intentions towards Israel should not be a surprise. It is hard to comprehend just how messed up things have become. obama=fubar

It’s a stiff, steep challenge at best. Israelis have doubtless spied out a lot, but a lot could still be hiding under those sands. But still, if Israel hits, Saudi Arabia will privately be glad. They and Iran represent two opposite warring factions of Islam.

“I think that Obama moved our carrier groups to the Persian Gulf, not to stop Iran, but to stop an Israeli attack on Iran.”

Bingo. I couldn’t agree more.
Bibi knows that Zero will not “personally” give U.S. aid to Israel. I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if our military told Obama to shove it where the sun don’t shine and give Israel the support they need.

That would be rich!

An attack might be the best on the night of the US elections or morning after. That way, media and the election winner will necessarily be diverted by the election results and any post election civil strife.

Wouldn't it be odd if our forces suddenly and unexpectedly began suffering all kinds of mechanical and communications problems?
