Clint said everything but “A man’s got to know his limitations.”
—The line that makes “Magnum Force” worth watching.
Damn. I misread the title. I thought it said “Bill Maher: Eastwood Killed Him”.
At first I thought his remark that we should “possibly” elect someone new was sabotage.. Then, it occurred to me that this passive overture COULD appeal to a wavering liberal, nudging them towards Romney.
If Eastwood had given a straight endorsement speech, no one would be talking about it.
Nobody needs this clown’s approbation for anything.
He killed it? I don’t think so, but what would this idiot Maher know about being funny.
If Eastwood had not been performing in front of an audience who wanted so much to cheer him on, he probably would have been booed.
He pulled it out at the end, but, lordy, it was painful to watch. What’s more, it did not have to be that way. He had all sorts of help at his disposal.
No one with good sense in Hollywood is going to get on the bad side of Clint Eastwood....not even in support of the Kenyan!!!
Maher has praised Coulter’s ability to deliver a good zinger in the past too, so maybe he’s apolitical when it comes to judging comedy. Some liberals tend to sound really reasonable when they’re discussing what they’re truly experts on. It’s the topics they’re ignorant about where they take the liberal side of things...liberalism and ignorance go hand in hand.
