Billionaire businessman David Koch has helped direct millions to Republican candidates but he disagrees with the party on gay marriage.
The Libertarian-minded Koch -- whose brother, Charlie, also is a big GOP supporter -- made the remarks Thursday on the sidelines of the Republican National Convention. "I believe in gay marriage," the 72-year-old Koch told Politico.
He was in Tampa as a New York delegate and to attend an event held by Americans for Prosperity -- the political advocacy group he helps fund and lead.

Media accuses the Republican Party of the being the party of the rich anyway, in 5, 4, 3...
Thanks scottjewell.
So. Republican nominee supports homosexual adoption, next step marriage.
Oh great......more money going to the gay movement. Wish I was rich.
This is an attempt to change the subject.
As long as Koch pushes good economics, he can think how he wants.
Has he given money to promote sodomy? As far as I know he hasn’t.
David Koch can’t reason-—being swayed by Marxists who want children to be objects to be sold or bartered and denied their natural rights to their loving biological parents. He wants women reduced to breeders.
How utterly evil such warped “thinking” is. Homosexuality is so extremely sexist. All homosexual societies—like the Samurai-—also practiced pederasty—since it is a learned behavior. Hopefully, David has no little boys whose minds can be warped like those little boys in harems in Afghanistan. Homosexuality is a perversion of nature. It is sooo obvious.
Strategic deflection.
Be extremely subtle, even to the point of formlessness. Be extremely mysterious, even to the point of soundlessness. Thereby you can be the director of the opponent’s fate.

And all the persecutory statism that comes along with it.
Libertarian my ass. If this moron had any sense, he’d argue the state does not belong in the marriage business.
I thought he was the 3rd brother?
Has the idiot David considered that if his parents were not one male and one female that he might not exist today?
Some billionaires are knuckle-dragging stupid.
Koch brothers, Clint Eastwood and Romney have pro gay marriage in common.
He’s hardly the only big donor out there who supports gay Marriage. Sheldon Adelson makes good money off his wedding chapels that perform the farce. (A gay acquaintance of mine got “married” at a Venetian chapel.)
Of the big money donors from this election cycle, Foster Freiss appears to be the most conservative and he’s pretty squishy on border control.
“Strategic deflection.”
Most likely. It would be a wise tactic.
OTOH there’s been a “what’s the use of being rich if you can’t indulge your sexual perversions...” attitude since long before Caligula.
Yes, exactly.
Yes, that is the logical next step.
Fiscal conservatives usually end up being neither...
Cannot tell the difference between a Koch and a Soros...this is getting bad
Exactly.
That’s what gets me angry at the mega-rich people and celebrities who come out for gay marriage with a casual “who’s it going to hurt?” attitude - inexcusably naive and unthinking about children, religious freedom, the social order, young people, the cultural structure....
Charlie Koch? I know people who’ve worked for the Kochs and never heard him called anything but Charles.
As to the gay marriage stuff, the Kochs have been pro-gay marriage for years, well before it became the hot button issue it is now.
“Cannot tell the difference between a Koch and a Soros...this is getting bad.”
True and downright scary.
