Billionaire businessman David Koch has helped direct millions to Republican candidates but he disagrees with the party on gay marriage.
The Libertarian-minded Koch -- whose brother, Charlie, also is a big GOP supporter -- made the remarks Thursday on the sidelines of the Republican National Convention. "I believe in gay marriage," the 72-year-old Koch told Politico.
He was in Tampa as a New York delegate and to attend an event held by Americans for Prosperity -- the political advocacy group he helps fund and lead.

Don’t know if he has; one would assume so - but if he doesn’t put his money where his mouth is it is no matter then.
David and Charles are the 2 most known within the Koch family Foundation.
Typical moon bean, code pick libertarian, who could care less if you marry your twin sister or St. Bernard. The only reason this sodomite lover was a republican is because he knows libertarians never win anything. I guarantee this SOB never goes in the front door of a church.
So sick of the whole cabal. Let God sort ‘em out at the end. Until then if they choose the sewage so be it unto them.
Man ain’t it the truth. My last fiscal “conservative” congressman lasted one term and has spent the past decade endorsing democrats over the “extremist bible thumping anti choice” crowd.
I just find, over the years, anyone described as a “fiscal conservative” was never conservative...nor really fiscal, either.
Most of the mega-rich have sold their souls to the Devil. Especially those immersed in the Hollywood culture which glorifies evil 24/7-—for actors are so needing of adulation and fame for validation, that they have sold their soul. They literally would do ANYTHING for money and fame. They are devoid of character-—a few, like Reagan, survived. More did his generation—but not today. Most get seduced by Satan. Clint Eastwood escaped too—although they seduced him to some of their sick nihilistic ideology—he has a lot of Common Sense. They couldn’t squash that.
Just like Corey Feldman stated-—Most of them are pedophiles. He knows-—he and his childhood friends were raped in homosexual orgies by several producers and their buddies-—who are still making “Glee” type programs to normalize Vice and corrupt children. Leftists allows them to go on raping-—but are outraged if the priests do it-—only because the Church still condemns homosexuality. Hollywood glorifies it-—wants to normalize it like when they had orgies in Greece and Rome-—which always used the boys. It is why the Press is silent about these pederasts. (Can’t make homosexuality look evil, like it is).
Literally, look at Cher who allowed a Lesbian to violate her own daughter’s body when only 11. These sick people are mental cripples, incapable of empathy for others. It is all about “ME” and what my “URGES” are—damn the children and their future. Let their world be so warped and sick that no rational thought will be allowed.
They have wasted their brains with drugs and perversion so long that there really aren’t very many brain cells left. It is frustrating talking to these vacant heads. It is a waste of time. Godless people are all haters and irrational. They believe everything came from absolutely nothing.
I just find that we have a far better chance with a social conservative who has core beliefs that charity should be a choice. They tend to be a lot less likely to see the taxpayers as a cash cow.
My congressman is a baptist minister and he ran on the promise that he wouldn’t bring a lot of money into the district. He simply explained that we shouldn’t take more than we send and sending less would give us more local control of how our tax dollars are spent.

So true. Social conservatives have always believed that charity should be done in private or through religious institutions, not the government
Sounds like you have a great representative. The district next to mine may have Alan Grayson as their next House rep...and I pity them
While that is certainly true. The only reason this news has been posted is because it is new and or unexpected.
Can't help but to be reminded of this:

So will the lefties stop hating on the Koch bros? No way.
Well said, and unfortunately very true.
Poor Beckel will have no one to rail against.
Rand Paul: Time for GOP to soften war stance...by softening its edge on some volatile social issues and altering its image as the party always seemingly "eager to go to war... We do need to expand the party and grow the party and that does mean that we don't always all agree on every issue" ... the party needs to become more welcoming to individuals who disagree with basic Republican doctrine on emotional social issues such as gay marriage... "We're going to have to be a little hands off on some of these issues ... and get people into the party," Paul said.[Posted on 01/31/2013 5:08:50 PM PST by xzins]
I think Koch Bros are also pro-illegal alien
Rand Paul's immigration speech...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.[Posted on 03/19/2013 7:04:07 AM PDT by Perdogg]
Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.
Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.
Let's start that conversation by acknowledging we aren't going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.
If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...
This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.
Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.
Rand Paul calls on conservatives to embrace immigration reformLatinos, should be a natural constituency for the party, Paul argued, but "Republicans have pushed them away with harsh rhetoric over immigration." ...he would create a bipartisan panel to determine how many visas should be granted for workers already in the United States and those who might follow... [and the buried lead] "Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers...[Posted on 04/21/2013 1:52:42 PM PDT by SoConPubbie]
[but he's not in favor of amnesty, snicker, definition of is is]
